Takes advantage of 2 deals and 5% off from Target Circle (credit) card.

1st deal is the $15 gift card back with $100 Apple gift card purchase at Target.com or in store.

https://www.target.com/p/apple-gi...nk=sametab

2nd deal is buy an ATV direct from Apple and receive a $25 Apple gift card.

https://www.apple.com/shop/gifts/shopping-event

Step 1: Buy 2 $100 Apple gift cards from Target with Target Circle card for 5% off. Total of $190 not counting the pennies. Get 2 $15 ($30 total) Target gift cards back. Separate transactions.

Step 2: Go to Apple.com and buy the ATV 4k 128gb for $150+tax with your $200 of Apple gift cards (can add to Apple account first.) Current Apple promo runs thru Dec 1st and gives you a $25 Apple gift card back with purchase of ATV.

Sidenotes: Tax is YMMV and will determine the exact total of Apple gift cards you have left over after the ATV purchase. Apple accounting charges you $125 for the 128gb ATV and $25 for the $25 Apple gift card. Side effect is it helps you pay a bit lower tax. A 7% tax rate on the ATV purchase at Apple adds $8 to the price or $158. (Again ignoring pennies to keep math simple.)

After 7% tax that leaves $42 left over in Apple gift cards (credit) plus the $25 Apple gift card received for the ATV purchase at Apple.com plus the $30 in Target gift cards.

***End result***

Pay: $190

Receive: $67 in Apple gift cards, $30 in Target cards and 1 128gb AppleTV 4k w/ethernet. (For 7% tax rate.)

YMMV on how valuable the gift cards are to you. For me they are like cash. I give Apple money every month as it is for cloud storage etc. And Target sells basic necessities.

Note: Feel free to use Amazon or Best Buy instead of Target as they are also running the same $100 Apple gift card promo last I checked.

You can do the same for literally anything else too (iPhones, Mac etc).

It still comes out behind the 20% PayPal offer, because you can get a little bit more through CB sites and CC rewards stacking on top of the 20% from PayPal.

Would be a killer deal if there were a way to combine PayPal 20% with the Apple GC deals, but looks like every retailer only lets you buy 1 GC in a single transaction.

I'm curious why people care about 128gb vs 64? What do people use the onboard memory for? Games?

The 128g version has an Ethernet port. The 64g version does not.

I know I can look this up but can you explain what people use this for practically speaking?
