This was $1399.99 at my local Costco yesterday, I should have taken a picture.

I found an 85" QM8 in open box fair condition for about $800 but had no accessories or even a power cable, and a dead pixel :--)
Yeah that would need to be returned.

I more or less diagnosed the TV for them for free. Even picked it up and brought it home. Quite annoying

How did you get it home?
My dad has a truck. The other option was rent a truck for a couple hours from the Menards across the street. Best Buy was also offering free shipping a week out.

It's bogus. They should've properly diagnosed it and "dead pixel" written on item description.

Review of the costco specific model
I got the 86 inch and paid 69 dollars to Costco for the install and additional warranty from allstate was 99. Free install only on the 98 inch model.

I had a very similar annoying experience with them. Ordered a "Good" condition open-box TV from a 60 miles in-store pickup location, which turned out to be a total disaster. It was just a bare TV.

I found an open box qm7k 98" for $1121 at Best Buy. Made my Black Friday!
I would simply never buy a open box TV, just because the screens maybe damaged buy several hundred of people touching and pressing the screens.

Maybe but it wasn't a display model. Sealed in original box with excellent condition. I have not inspected yet tho.

The QM7K is worth the extra money. I got mine for $1798 using the Amazon Chase 10% cash back bonus.

The QM7K & QM8K screens are amazing & as close to OLED I've seen.

True. It is $1399 at the warehouse. No way to get it to my basement.

I saw that but someone posted a pic and it didn't really seem to help. Still had a lot of glare.
I just looked at the QM7K in person, which is the same screen as the QM6k Pro, and it's like a mirror. The reflections are so bad and direct bright lights get a huge lens flare effect to boot. If you have a bright room, I would stay away.

The matte screen on the QM6K is definitely the way to go if reflection handling is a priority.

98 inch mini led tv for $1400-1500 (in store) + the Costco warranty is the best big TV deal this year. This is a significant upgrade from those $1000 edge lit TVs

If you buy it in store, do you have to figure your own way to get it home?
