I don't get it – why would you do a trade-in in this case? The no trade-in offer is too good to miss. If you trade in, you are technically selling your old phone for just {whatever-your-trade-in-value-is} - $440, and the max can only be $700 - $440 = $260 (usually less depending on your old phone), and in your case you are only selling the S23U for $210 ($650 trade-in value). Are you sure you cannot sell it for more? I really don't get it.
I get what you're saying, and the math definitely works out better if I sell it myself. Honestly though, I just didn't feel like putting in the time and energy to deal with listing it, meeting up with buyers, or shipping it out. The convenience of the trade-in was worth the difference for me in this case.

$744 for me with the Buds for $95. Getting 20% back from PayPal though.
I couldn't get this work on mobile. But if I missed something, I'm happy to cancel my order and try again. nod

If you've done trade-in with Samsung before you'll know their program might be among the worst ones. A lot of people reported issues, and in case there is something wrong, you'll have to deal with them and spend much more time. Samsung doesn't accept partial return – they'll ask you to return the whole order, and if you miss a deal due to that, they may still be able to match, but they'll ask you to place a new order first (with the new, might be higher price), ship the previous order back, get a full refund, and they can then do a partial refund to your new order to match the deal price (if that happens). The entire process would take a month or two. Why do I know that? I've experience the same issue before. Anyone who knows Samsung well will avoid doing the trade-in as much as they can, unless the offer is too good to miss (e.g., there were $900 trade-in offers for Flip3 -> Flip4 and Flip4 -> Flip5, when you could only sell those phones for $350 tops back then).

I definitely hear you. Samsung's trade-in program can be unpredictable, and I know plenty of people who've had nightmare experiences with it. But with my schedule this time around, going through Samsung just made the most sense.

For what it's worth, I've done about five trade-ins with them so far and never ran into any issues, so I'm hoping number six goes just as smoothly. Fingers crossed!

I am only able to get the SDECHAN25KARI code to work as of right now unfortunately. Hopefully a new workaround is found before the paypal 20% is over, I was really hoping for a $600ish phone (and possibly $100ish watch).

With the EPP account and the coupons that are listed here which i had it in the cart. The price kept dropping everyday. Also some EPP accounts get $100 off for first time users using Shop Samsung app. For example : Today the price of the 512 GB Ultra in my cart is $545 the buds pro dropped to $70 . Before tax is $615, for the phone, buds pro and the free buds case. This is before the paypal 20% cashback.
trying to recreate exactly and no go. Still get the 866 price for the 512gb. 1tb is over a grand. Used education discount and first responders AND codes. nothing is working.

It only works with EPP I think meaning your work place needs to be eligible for Samsung offers. Not Perks at work kind of thing. You need to open a Samsung account with your work email id assuming your work place is eligible. I might be wrong but I placed multiple orders for friends and family and couldn't replicate this price until I created an account with work email id for my relative. Also this is only applicable the first order using the app.

25SOPNOV10 is dead, and PayPal seems available again for purchase. No thanks, without that extra 10% off no more orders.
