Lol, so many people are so ignorant on Snapdragon X series.

A typical Geekbench 6 single-core score for a laptop Core i5 5 years ago would be a Tiger Lake processor, and score approximately 1,150-1,300, while the multi-core score ranges from approximately 4,000-5,000.

The Snapdragon x1-26-100 has a Geekbench 6 score of 2125 and multi-core of 10596.

For those wondering, this is actually a good price for a Snapdragon cpu system, given its inherent compatibility limitations vs Intel/Amd systems.
Obviously, good for those that understand some apps, drivers, and games will never run on a SnapX cpu, and willing to stick mostly to Microsoft apps for the best compatibility.

Great price, for those who bought it I recommend visiting to find Windows ARM native apps, there's lots now:

Community Reviews

This Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3x is a strong budget Windows on ARM laptop for everyday use, especially web browsing, email, Word, streaming, and other normal tasks. The Snapdragon X chip gets praised for staying cool, quiet, and efficient, with solid battery life, a touch screen, backlit keyboard, fingerprint reader, Wi Fi 7, and USB C charging alongside the included 65W barrel charger. The main caution is compatibility, since some legacy apps, printer drivers, games, and creator or business workflows may need ARM native versions or may not work well. It feels like a capable low cost pick if your software is already ARM friendly.

18W is too low dude...even my Chromebook won't charge correctly with 25W brick... The laptop isn't being fed what it was designed to draw.
Good to know, thanks. I'll look into higher wattage power adapters. There are times where it would be convenient to charge with USB-C.

Use at least 4. 25-30W should be okay when the laptop is fully powered off. I tested one with my asus g14 and Chromebook, via USB C. They charged slowly but eventually finish.

The laptop in this thread comes with 65W. 45W has a good chance of working but very slowly.

look in the task manager and under details it will say which apps are still using x86_x64
That's what I did. More or less the only thing that is x86 is the Brave browser updater. A few things don't have anything. But everything else is Arm. Literally only installed chrome and brave. And haven't opened any apps other than settings to warm the screen at night and i keep hitting that stupid copilot button when I want to hit ctrl enter for dot com.

That's a phone charger which is designed for smart charging protocols like PPS which are not used by a laptop. It's o.k. for occasional travel use but not ideal. It's not designed for sustained 45 watt output. High internal temperature will cause it to fail or it may throttle down requiring even more time to charge.

This Lenovo laptop is designed to fast charge in 15 minutes from 0% to give 2 hours of computing when a 65 watt charger is used. For the highest efficiency and cleanest power skip 65 w and buy 100 w instead.

Laptop chargers have 20 volt output at 3.2 amp capacity or better.

Here's a typical minimum spec for daily use with a small laptop:
Lenovo 40AWGC65WW 65W GaN Adapter 120V AC 230V AC Input . Output: 9V 12V 15V 20V under USB C PD 3.0.
Model #: 40AWGC65WW

Laptops have much larger batteries which do not require constant micro-adjustment of voltage and current to preserve battery health.

I bought the high end snapdragon in the Microsoft Surface a couple weeks ago. I can flat out tell you that the Snapdragon is not ready yet. It's buggy. It hangs and lags.... and simply put is not as fast as my nine year old i5 laptop. I would return it if it weren't for the awesome battery life. I am hoping they get things fixed, but I am not holding my breath. It will probably be another generation or two of the chipset before it's actually ready for prime time.

note: all I do is browse the web, youtube, etc. More or less what a chromebook is good for.
Something was wrong with your specific setup. It's not mine or hundred of others users experience. I run dozens of active apps for over a year and half, both native and not and it runs circles even the latest lunar lakes. Feels snappy all the time.

You've had this laptop for a year and a half? Do you think this is a good deal?

No, not this laptop. I have the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x, which runs the Snapdragon Elite. It's a higher end model.

I requested a return 2 days ago but still haven't heard back from Lenovo. The order detail page is still showing "A return request has been submitted for this item". How long did you guys have to wait before getting the return shipping instruction email from Lenovo?

Omg.. just checked in here and see people are returning this? We've been using this for over a month and I think it's a great laptop for the price! Less than $300 after discounts and 20%back from paypal. I'm not sure what people are expecting. It's not gonna satisfy everyone's needs of course, but for what I paid it's serving its purpose and more.
Still happy about the deal... Thanks op!
