2k/1200p or, more commonly known, FHD+ is the sweet spot for 16" laptop screens. Laptop dGPU's don't have to struggle pushing pixels to a screen that's sitting 2-ft from a user as it may with QHD/4k who's resolution is unnecessary on a 16" screen. Nowadays I look specifically for a 16" with FHD+ for the larger vertical real estate and peace of mind the laptop dGPU will meet expectations.

Unfortunately not the case this generation. Or the last even. We have recently had MSI gaming laptops with 4060s with 45W maxes. The Alienware that pops up on here regularly has a 5070 with 80 watt max instead of the 115 of most 5070s etc.
