this article is wrong / outdated, the charts say up to 10 core CPU for m4 pro meanwhile it has 12 cores

Nailed it. If you're doing regular everyday tasks like browsing online or running spreadsheets, the M5 is faster. If you're doing heavy work like long form video editing, the m4 pro will outperform the m5. Anything AI related though the M5 will excel in. If Apple releases their local AI stuff next year, the M5 will be the better chip for it. Also the M5 has a much faster SSD than the M4 pro.
