God of War Ragnarök on PS5 is a strong story driven action game and a direct sequel to the 2018 God of War, with the best payoff coming after playing the earlier game first. The story is called a masterpiece, the combat and puzzles are praised as challenging, and the sequel status makes the narrative feel more rewarding. At around $20, it is framed as a solid price for fans of the series, with free DLC on PSN. Shipping may be the main catch, since store pickup was unavailable and delivery added cost for some orders.
The game can be purchased for about $21 shipped when shipping is free for Target Circle members.
The included PS5 copy delivers an impressive experience once gameplay starts.
Applying a $5 Best Buy certificate can bring the total to $16.45 after tax.
The DLC is currently free on PSN, which adds extra value after purchase.
Shipping-only availability can add a $5.99 shipping cost when no in-store copies exist.
The story can be a masterpiece while gameplay can feel very hard and puzzles can be complicated.
The game can remain expensive on the PS Store due to digital pricing.
Playing the 2018 God of War first can be necessary because Ragnarok continues the story.
