That being said, FWIW, it looks Best Buy is hitting the same price now, and that's combined with them offering more value for trade-ins (checking a few, ~$100 more).
Of course of someone has discounts that apply to Amazon specifically or no trade-in, it might balance back. Hope this helps others!

I'm sure this is a good deal if you enjoy foldables.
Here's my opinion on the phone after using it for nearly 2 months.
I am not a fan, but that may be largely subjected to the fact that I rarely use in tablet mode. And I've spent a significant time thinking about this because the bigger screen really is nice. However, given the other devices I have available and use more frequently on the daily basis, it makes tablet mode less of a necessity for me. For example, I work at a desktop computer the majority of the day, we have a few TVs in the house and would much rather watch something on the TV than the tablet. We are home most of the time, I work from home.
Our vehicle has a large screen, if it didn't, I would definitely use the phone and tablet mode while driving.
Even when I'm out traveling, I've discovered that my work is best suited by opening a laptop and being productive than opening my phone and tablet mode and only doing a few things and putting it up because I can't concentrate enough on the smaller screen.
Now for my more objective thoughts.
The camera sucks, especially compared to the 9xl and I'm sure the 10xl.
It feels incredibly awkward to hold because there is no symmetry.
The smaller screen on the front feels like a downgrade over the Pro XL.
The interior bezel scratches incredibly easy just from dust.
I have a few more thoughts of why I don't like the phone.
Obviously I'm not the target market, but at the very least this should not have the Pro name.
Other than that, it's a cool phone. 😁
