How does Apple get away with an extra $150 just for adding a 5g modem compared to the Wi-Fi only model? Can't add more than $20-40.... Supply and demand I guess.

Agree. I mean +$20-40 would mean everyone buys it but if they bring it to like say +75.00 that might be enough. +$150 is just straight ripping people off.

It's pretty simple, just like airplanes charge more for the same flight, apple prices the base model with the lowest margin. Higher tiers don't just cost more, they have a greater margin.
If you eat at restaurants, it's not that different. Food has one margin, and then drink drinks have a much greater margin.
Don't drink at restaurants you'll save money, by the base model at Apple. You'll also save money.

PS, in the US at a restaurant do not save money by not tipping, that's just being a dick to the staff.

Yes, exactly what they teach you in a four year degree of business marketing. They just say supply and demand over and over.

So you're logic is because airlines and restaurants rip off customers by charging much higher prices for a product or service that really costs next-to-nothing makes it legit for Apple to do it? In my book, they're all crooks. And Apple pays less than $15 for a 512GB NAND chip but charges a $300 premium in an iPad over the 128GB version. That's hardly the same as the margin a restaurant makes on a glass of wine over a soda.
