This two pack is mainly a cheap way to get two Moto G Play phones, 1,500 minutes, texts, and data, with the real value coming from backup lines, 2FA, or using the phones on Wi Fi. The phones can be activated separately, service can be staggered for up to a year, and existing Tracfone numbers or balances can be transferred during activation. The main drawbacks are the small 1.5GB yearly data allotment, the 2024 model being 4G only, and the unlock wait tied to paid activation. Taxes and coupon reliability also vary, so the final out of pocket can be higher than the headline price.

Dang paid 60 for this last week.
If it's any consolation, QVC canceled majority of the orders using these high-value coupons, even for real new customers.

Code JOLLYQ20 is currently working for 20% off for new customers. Not quite as good as $25 but hey...... My total comes out to $60.31 after discount and tax added.
Same here. Also check your cashback sites for higher % in QVC (e.g. raku, top). Combine it with credit card's qvc or paypal promo (e.g. freedom) and would come out to be around $25 per phone/year, or less. Not as slick, but still a deal under QVC crackdown.

The thing people are having trouble with is when they have two active lines with two different numbers and want to combine them. It is now very hard, if not impossible, to do that.

I don't think anyone has reported a problem with activating the new phone with a transfer of service from their current Tracfone. So only one active line/one phone number.
Thank you, that makes sense. I definitely experienced that TF idiocy firsthand. Avoiding number merges now like the plague.

The moto g 25 is a better deal because it has esim. After your data runs out and after you unlock the phone you can switch it to helium mobile and get like 3gb per month free and like 110 or something minutes and texts. And then if that data runs out you can switch over to insta bridge for more free gigs.

So I recommend not buying the play
That's interesting. I've heard of Helium but not Insta Bridge. How do you like/use their services? Helium appears to have some physical/GPS restrictions. Would Insta have similar requirements?

I don't think there are location restrictions anymore. Insta requires you install their launcher but you can remove it after. I would only bother with insta if your helium data runs out

1.5GB data for a year?

Is there expiration when it needs to be activated? Might just buy to have backup phones ready to go when needed but don't plan to use anytime soon

Not sure about this phone but I bought a moto g 5g 2024 and it has dual sim. Tempted to transfer my T-Mobile eSIM to it but I prefer using iPhone as my main phone

Up to a year after purchase is generally considered safe with QVC tracfones

Been looking for a plan for my kid so he can call to have him picked up after school. This looks perfect. Does the sim card only work with these two phones?

Generally, Tracfone SIMs should stay in the phone they came with. You could activate the first one, then activate the second one, clicking "keep my number" then activate a BYOP SIM or eSIM for the unlocked device you want to use. That will transfer the two years of service over. Most people do each transfer on a different day in case they need to sort something out with customer service. And if you want to make sure the Moto G Plays unlock, you might want to keep the service on each one for 60 days, but they might unlock even without that.
