I won't buy Godiva anymore. They have pared down the selection in their premium boxes to just the basic chocolates. 36 chocolates in the 15.1 oz box and "18" varieties, but four varieties are caramels which are nearly identical (so that's 8 pieces I don't even like), 6 pieces that are essentially the same just different shapes, and another 4 pieces of "white chocolate". They closed all their stores and when you order online, the chocolate comes melted. The filled ones break apart when you eat them which NEVER used to happen. It's just utter garbage now. Very sad to see because Godiva used to me my go to in chocolates. I'm voting with my dollar and won't miss them when they go bankrupt.
Found this post bc I just had some for the first time just now and was wondering if they used to be better bc I'd heard they were pretty good in the past and all I could think of when I had it rn was "this literally just tastes like a creamier version of the waxy tasting chocolate eggs n shit they sell at the dollar store for Easter
Godiva honestly is alright. In Japan there's is still practice the way it was. But it's mainly just sugar now a days. There are much better chocolatiers out there. Try läderach, if you can they have an online store it's pricey but a top brand in chocolate making for sure you can taste the difference.

What a odd thing to say. Why would they go bankrupt just because you don't like them anymore?

Quality has gone downhill over the last decade.
