It fits my 6in phone without having to take it out of its rugged phone case. I think the convenience of it being Bluetooth, not having to take my phone out of the case, it being comfortable to the hand, with a familiar buttons and thumb sticks layout, decent battery life is what makes it so convenient to use.
I don't only use it with my phone on the go, but the Oled and OG Switch 1 can also be used with this controller and I have used it several time with it.
Totally recommend it. Buying one more as a gift. Thanks.

The GameSir G8 Plus is a comfortable Bluetooth telescopic controller that shines for mobile gaming, cloud streaming, and emulation across phones, tablets, Switch, Android, iOS, and PC. Its biggest strengths are the ergonomic grip, familiar layout, and wide fit, including phones in rugged cases and tablets up to 8 inches, with some setups even using it vertically. The Bluetooth only design avoids USB C port and case hassles, though it means no wired audio jack or pass through charging. It is a roomy, portable option that feels especially convenient for quick pick up and play sessions.

works on android ios and pc wirelessly with a key combination
Man, I'm so out of touch. I don't even know what games there are or I could play on the iPhone.
I if I return the Backbone and got this, does anybody have any recommendations the type of games I could play or download or use or subscribe to?

The g8 usb is nice and, as pointed out, does support pass-through charging. It's my main go to. The benefits of the g8+ is I can mount my tablet vertically for different types of games or systems.
