I haven't tracked the price but 50% off the 8" earth auger bit is a terrific value to round out my collection. Makita 36V earth auger with Makita 4" bit ($76 from Amazon Resale in 2022), Redback 6" bit ($62 from Home Depot in 2022), and now Ryobi 8" bit ($45). All are the same style and similar quality, though the Redback annoyingly attaches with a hex socket cap screw rather than a PTO pin.

I have so many Ryobi tools that I have trouble finding anything I need. The quality is decent enough for me, weekend warrior/homeowner. I buy primarily through HD or Direct tools. Only buy online when free shipping is available. One caveat is be careful about refurbished. They can be junk at times. The blemished are brand new tools. Only difference between HD and them is the sticker on the box
