This Cuisinart outdoor wok station is built for home stir fry, with a prep table that makes it easy to stage bowls and ingredients. The 50,000 BTU burner is praised as plenty for home use, especially with a 14 inch or smaller wok, and the directed flame is seen as better suited to wok cooking than broader high power burners. The main cautions are that serious restaurant style wok work may want more heat, and assembly can be frustrating with misaligned holes and awkward fasteners. It is also listed as non returnable, so the fit for your cooking style matters.

Can this be converted to regular pot cooking station instead of wok-only?

I just built mine. Assembly was a pain because the screw holes wouldn't align. Also, the design of two of the fastening points weren't that smart - it wouldn't allow you to tighten two of the legs fully down.

Mine also came damaged in several areas, but I kept it because it still woks

In Chicago, I lived in an apartment right across from an Asian couple. They would cook on a Wok every day on their balcony and the smell would drift over to my apartment and smelled so freaking good. They had a large wok, I don't know what size but it was bigger than a normal one I see in the cooking section at Walmart. They used a propane burner under it, just like you'd set a pot and fry fish on. Same kind I see at Walmart, like the king cooker one, but I don't know the brand they used, this was about 24 years ago. They cooked a ton of meals on that thing though.

Just got mine. Quality wise it's not bad. But the assembling was a torture. Misalignment, not enough clearance for power tool, taking off fasteners blindly. Terrible engineering design. Definitely more painful then IKEA level assembly.

I have this. Purchased at beginning of the summer for 300. Definitely worth it for home use. For the people asking if the btu is enough, are u turning out a dish every 2 to 3 mins like a restaurant? I have yet to cook with this on full blast
It's not about the time, you need that high BTU to make the food soft inside and crunchy outside. Trust me, I used to work at a Chinese restaurant, so I know.

If you have a Weber Kettle, get a Vortex and the Gourmet grate. Works really well for periodic wok cooking, and you can basically turn your grill into an air fryer for kettle friend chicken. Will run you about $100.

Do you fill the Vortex up with charcoal?
I just got a Performer Deluxe last Spring.
I've had the Gourmet grate with the removable middle.
Just haven't busted out the wok yet. I was planning to use a 14" wok that I got from webstaurant, but I am thinking about just using the one from indoors with a flat bottom but with a handle. Not sure if it will fit, but the handle is the key unless I get some heat proof gloves...like 800*+.

Possible but it's the lowest price ever already.

I doubt it but if they have returns then it's possible.
