I agree their quality has dipped a bit in recent years, especially on certain items, but much of their stuff is still pretty decent. I've got two of these thermal shirts and for $13/each and free shipping I definitely consider it worth it. Ordered a few more for Christmas presents too.

Hm debatable. Stretchy is good for better movement but it doesn't wick sweat as good as 100 poly.

My issue w/ UA is their sizing - it's all over the place. Medium can be loose, tight or just right regardless of what "fit" it says it is.

just noticed they have a fit scale under the size selection: loose, fit, compression.

i typically get large, but since this one is listed as "loose" i went with medium.

Got one of these during a pre-BF sale, and it's decent. However, UA has chosen to do the maddening thing that a lot of waffle shirts do: the exterior is softer than the interior. I have a 41.5" chest with an athletic build, and like most things UA, Large was the correct choice.

If the interior/exterior thing doesn't bother you, it seems like a good deal. If you prefer something a bit more comfortable on the skin, Columbia's Thistletown Hills (cotton/poly blend) and Tech Trail Utility (poly) shirts are my go-to for comfortable/stretchy basic long-sleeve tops.

You are not doing math correctly on UA deals. It is 50% off on original price 39.99, not on sale price 32.97. Then, it is 20% off but calculating on original price. Thus, its coming up as 16.48, not 13. Let me know if I am missing anything
