For anyone wondering, Battlefront 2 still has a good playerbase on PC. No trouble finding games, even for the more niche things like Ewok Hunt. I still have a ton of fun just doing PVE on it. Gorgeous game.

EA app is horrible. One of the worst in the industry and that's saying a lot.

I loved the first and played it a ton. I got discouraged from playing the second after the not-so-great reviews. I need to give it a shot

It deserved to get as much shit as it did at launch, but it is SO MUCH fun now.

Recently loaded it BF2 up on a 4-6 year old higher end (for it's day) laptop with a clean new windows 11 build and it wouldn't start. This is a steam install of the game, not EA. It hangs on the loading screen, no mouse, no keyboard. Tried several things and eventually got past the loading screen by making it run in compatibility mode.

TLBig GrinR, this game is so old now it may not run on a "new" computer without some techie know how.
