Yesterday I ordered the 13" model with cellular and 512GB storage for $999, but looking around the Costco site just now I see some odd things. The 11" model with the same specs as what I ordered is $1099. And they have the 13" model without cellular and with only 256GB storage also listed for $999. The pricing does seem weird. But fingers crossed it's just them wanting to get rid of some unpopular SKUs and not an actual price mistake...

I just got shipping confirmation email... fingers crossed

Honest question with this set up - this iPad Pro 13" M4 w/ the Magic Keyboard - is it good enough to be a laptop replacement?

Excellent deal especially since the one without cellular is sold out and $100 more.

with the magic keyboard, it will be slightly heavier than a 13 inch macbook air.

For most people, it is absolutely good enough to be a laptop replacement, but it also costs more than something like a Macbook Air for something that's less capable.

It's not a price mistake, Apple just loves over-producing inventory to their loyal fans , and then they roll out those fancy MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) holiday promos. Apple pretends to "take the loss" lol , while big-box stores like Costco happily keep their razor-thin margins. Costco - couldn't care less. As long as the loyal members keep paying those fat membership fees. About 70% of Costco's operating income — roughly $5 billion — comes from memberships alone!

My question was more about why the prices on Costco's site aren't consistent with each other. Several of the higher end models are going for less than the lower end ones

No, the microsoft office suite for iPad is not the same as the desktop, is Ok for ocassional work, edit a document once in a while, also the magic keyboard is heavy, the new trackpad is very responsive and the aluminium it gives the premium finish, like a macbook but expensive and heavy, I bought it on sale when I was looking for a case.

For reference, to help others gauge handling time and shipping estimate accuracy: I ordered on 12/3 (3:45pm CST, express). Got the shipping email on 12/4 (8:50pm CST). It was picked up by UPS around 1pm today in California and should arrive tomorrow midday (12/5).

Had bought one last week. Requested a price match using the app. Let's see how it goes.
