True, but very few devices use it... And those chargers are vastly more.

I'm adding a couple to my arsenal. Also trying to sell my parents with 15W iPhones on using them.

It doesn't really matter on the speed but the quality of the charger. The official apple charger stays pretty cool and pumps out 25w and I've had some older slower chargers that get really hot.

A fan? No thanks. I charge my iPhone at night on my nightstand with a magsafe wireless charger and last thing I want to hear is the sound of a fan.
Is the fan to keep the phone cool or the charger? 15W doesn't seem very high to have to worry about heat.

I have one and you can't hear the fan, even with it charging a foot away on the nightstand. Hope that helps. Also the fastest and best charger I have.

I'm not a tech person so forgive my silly question but why does it say "Only for iPhone...". Wouldn't all wireless charging be basically the same? I ask because I have an android.

I got this and it works with my android phones.

This is a good charger. It works, it may not be the fastest but it's good for the price. I can hear the fan but it's not annoyingly loud. It doesn't bother me.

I just got a recall on their portable chargers. I won't be buying this brand again.

My worry is that, like all fans, over time they start to make noise as they get dust and dirt into the fan bearings...but thanks for the feedback. Wish it had a longer cord...the one I use now has a 10ft cord that makes it easy to use while connected.

I bought this when it was on sale back in October. It never charged more than 6w on both my Pixel 7 and company issued iPhone. Both phones can be charged over 12w on my other wireless chargers. Also, it constantly drew 0.33w even while the fan and the light were off. Maybe I just got a defective unit. I returned it.

It's for the phone. Heat kills batteries over time, and wireless charging generates more heat than wired charging. Sure, you can buy a wireless charger with no fan, but your battery health will degrade more rapidly.
