Picked up the co-branded Samsung/Nintendo 256GB at Best Buy yesterday for $39.99, so I would expect to see better deals before Christmas than this $49.99 for the 256GB card.

Canon, Sony, and Nikon have a cfexpress option. In my a7iii, which was released in 2018 btw, I can use CFexpress type A or an SD card.
Last I checked, none of the camera released today lower than $1,500 has CF Express. Those are, even today, reserve only for professional cameras. Anything lower than $1,500 typically only has SD card. How much is the switch again?

Well sure when you lower the bar after the fact to fit your statement, it becomes true. Used equipment exists btw, bought my a7iii in 2023 for less than $1500, but that's irrelevant to your statement I guess. As far as the switch? No clue I don't do handhelds or consoles. However a counter to that would be how many devices support the newer faster card besides the switch? I didn't even know those cards existed until reading about them on the various SD threads.

Can you buy microSD Cards on amazon now? I assumed the answer was still no.
Check the card with Samsung authentication utility and return if it's fake.

That's not true for the switch 2. It requires an "express" card because it needs the faster speeds.
Kinda what I said.... Any SD 'express' card will work, regardless of brand

Can't find information whether it's compatible with insta 360 X 5.
