I have their 6" green tea flavor queen one and it's really firm, waiting to see it on sale again

Is 6" enough for a back sleeper? Or is it better to go 10-12?

the general rule is the thinner the mattress, the firmer it is. the firmer mattress are for back sleepers whereas the soft, contouring ones are for side sleepers. i would guess the 12" one is for side sleeper. of course, manufacturers will vary on their measurements of firmness, especially on different types of springs and compositions.

it seems the mattresses that have uniform composition are better for stacking (cheaper than buying box springs). that's why i'm hoping to score more of these thin 6" memory foam mattresses, but for $55 like last month's deal. very cheap way to fill up a house with many guest rooms.

My current one was an 8" memory foam from Costco, but it's way too "soft" for me as a back sleeper. Either that, or the foam just sucks, because it keeps dipping in certain spots...
