I opened these took them out of the plastic wrap they were in wiped the machine oils off with a damp cloth warm water and let them sit in the sun for 2 days. There was nearly no additional smells that people typically complain about.
Perfect timing since I have everything for my little basement gym except plates. I'm getting the 210lb set with 2x10lb plates for $18 more. That's just under 65 cents/lb...for brand new plates. Everyone locally is selling used plates for $1/lb, so this literally can't be beat unless you're buying from a friend.
Delivery guy is going to hate me. 🤣

That 370 set is tempting but 260 is more practical for me. I'll never use the 55s.
The 160lb set is the one I bought seven months ago. I would never use 15lb, 35lb, or 55lb. That's just too many different weights to organize. They also complicate the math.
Anyone have experience with this brand? Garage use so will be exposed to temps. Concerned about quality.
I've had a set of the 55's and 25's for over a year, been pretty rough with them as well and they hold up. Just as good of quality as most brands you will see online.

Good call. I think I'll do the same. Wish it included 5lbs

That was truly a pro tip...great idea! In for the same combo and my son will love it!
For those who are complaining about the 15 lb, 35 lb and 55 lb being wasteful - I just found out that Walmart let me cancel individual parts of the set, so I was able to just cancel the 35 lb from the 210 lb set. I believe you can do the same and cancel the 35 lb and 55 lb parts from the 370 lb set. YMMV.
Another tip - if you have 2 x 2.5lb, 4 x 5lb, 2 x 10lb, 2 x 25lb and as many 45 lb pairs as you like, you can make any increments of 5 lb with a 45 lb barbell.

The lowest price per pound is approximately $0.62 for the 210-lb set.
