It's worth noting this isn't the same as typical fiber internet - it's "fiber-powered". Namely, from their own details,
Xfinity Internet is powered by fiber and connected to premises by coaxial cable
One drawback to this is upload and download speeds are not symmetric - the headline advertised speed is the download speed, but upload speeds are typically significantly lower. For example, looking at the Broadband Facts of the 1 Gig plan in my area, they specify typical download speed at 1170 mbps and typical upload speed at 117 mbps. In the past in different areas, I've seen advertised typical upload speeds as low as 20-40 mbps.

That may be perfectly fine for many people, in which case this is a good deal. But make sure to take a look at the upload speed for your area and confirm that it's fast enough for your needs.

Yes don't log in initially, then look up your address, then choose I'm moving here as a new subscriber. Then contie towards the end and on the screen where it has you sign up for an account, choose login instead. But make sure you cancel your old account, and return equipment. Otherwise you'll be billed for two accounts concurrent.

I'm a current customer and my plan has that bank autopay discount too. But I can still manually pay with a credit card every month, with no surcharge, and the discount remains.

No the screen where it asks you to create an account is where you click on the login link/button instead and it is before you place the order. If it matters I am on Android phone

It could be related to the place you are moving to, maybe it never had or has outdated xfinity cables (if that's a thing). At my place I used to have Comcast a couple of years ago so I'm thinking I just need to plug their modem to the existing old cable.
I don't think so. Ive got relatively new FTTH.

Xfininity has moved away modem rental fees. at least the last few months ive been checking. If you use your own modem you have to pay 30 for unlimited data or pay for xfi complete 25 which has modem and data included.
Paying $30 for unlimited data with your own modem is not correct.

You could. My sister-in-law just did it a few days ago.

Any hacks to get this for current subscriber?
Go to xfinity WITHOUT logging in, pick plan and place in cart then sign in when it asks if new customer or existing.

it might be a mobile thing. I am not being prompted for new account anytime b4 order placing. what i did try is get to order screen and login and that seemed to work. cant order now due to 3 months left on contract. not trying to pay an extra 30.

Anyone who previously had 100+mbps upload and took this offer are you still getting 100mbps upload?
I currently have 150mbps upload on Comcast, when I get to the final page it shows me I will only have 35mbps upload. Not if it's just wrong or they are down grading it from the 100mbps it should be at my address to 35.

You have to change plans but on these new plans there is no charge for bringing your own modem and having unlimited data

In June 2025 Xfinity/Comcast got rid of data caps on the 1GB plan. It comes with Peacock as well. Having your own modem has nothing to do with data caps. Google is your friend, use it.

If I have Xfinity Internet and Xfinity Mobile and not in any contracts. What would be the best way to cancel and get this promo. I need to be able to keep my Xfinity mobile numbers.

Would I transfer my Xfinity mobile numbers to a cheap prepaid service and then can cancel internet and then have my wife re join and get the Xfinity Internet promo and the 1yr free of mobile service?

Couple of day ago they used to offer 100mbps upload speed on $50 1 Gig plan in my area, now they changed it to up to 35mbps upload speed. Seem like Xfinity fighting back on existing customer upgrade workaround. Unbelievable company who never stop to work in order to screw their existing and potentially new customers,. i mean they reacted way to fast in my opinion, usually they slow as farck. Looks like they have a whole dedicated team to monitor that kind of sh..t wich is basically cost them nothing,... what's a marrons.
From my point of view 150mbps upload worth way more than just extra couple hundred mbps download (assuming you're on 500-600mbps plan. ) If i were you would stay on old plan since you missed their originally offered 1Gb download / 100mbps upload offer.
