It's worth noting this isn't the same as typical fiber internet - it's "fiber-powered". Namely, from their own details,
Xfinity Internet is powered by fiber and connected to premises by coaxial cable
One drawback to this is upload and download speeds are not symmetric - the headline advertised speed is the download speed, but upload speeds are typically significantly lower. For example, looking at the Broadband Facts of the 1 Gig plan in my area, they specify typical download speed at 1170 mbps and typical upload speed at 117 mbps. In the past in different areas, I've seen advertised typical upload speeds as low as 20-40 mbps.

That may be perfectly fine for many people, in which case this is a good deal. But make sure to take a look at the upload speed for your area and confirm that it's fast enough for your needs.

Yes don't log in initially, then look up your address, then choose I'm moving here as a new subscriber. Then contie towards the end and on the screen where it has you sign up for an account, choose login instead. But make sure you cancel your old account, and return equipment. Otherwise you'll be billed for two accounts concurrent.

I'm a current customer and my plan has that bank autopay discount too. But I can still manually pay with a credit card every month, with no surcharge, and the discount remains.

I started service in April 2025 and I'm paying $70 out the door for 600mbps "Fast" with X-Fi gateway, 1 of the 2nd gen pods that was free and unlimited data, it was the best deal they had in my area at the time and the only decent company since fiber isn't available from others yet. If I try to upgrade to the 1gbps plan it's going to be $100 right now which is ridiculous. New customers get the best deals like always.

Are you under contract? Just try the method on making a new service like almost everyone was successfully able to do.

Very tempting, I have Gigabit+ Business Internet (no caps, no fuss) for $130.

It looks to be a good savings, but I've had zero issues.

what's the benefit of the rewards account? I have never used any of it's perks. Any good ones?
I've had a decent number of perks, but they can be tied to the "tier" you're in. I've gotten free movie tickets, free movies (digital download and rent), gift cards for Fanatics and one or two other places.

Internet speeds are overhyped. You don't need anything over a consistent 200 mbps.
F off. Let people decide what they need and don't need. 200 mbps is SLOW AF

Well it's remarkable that you got someone to talk to phone!! On chat response is schedule a call that's few days from now. If I call their listed number, the response is we cannot share sensitive information over phone; look it up online

I also looked up original order. It was on Feb 14, 2025;
It's called CONNECT with Internet Download speeds up to 150 Mbps; Upload speeds up to 20 Mbps. With one year contract discount, I am paying $40/month in Atlanta area.

It also has the following addition The offer is subject to the terms of your 12-month term contract.$110 Early Termination Fee applies.

I am not sure whether it's prorated and is reduced further down the contract?? How did they come up with a figure of $50 for you?

Just signed up for this deal yesterday as an existing customer using the steps outlined in previous posts. Already activated the new gateway and cancelled the old account, but still haven't gotten the $50 prepaid card yet. Not really expecting to get it at this point. Also, my rewards account was downgraded to gold from diamond. Still totally worth it, though.
Interesting that your status was downgraded. I tried to follow all the steps listed here and sign for a new account under my name but I was always getting a message to call. My account was 18 years old so I was Diamond. Calls to customer service, chats, and a store visit all got me nowhere. I finally signed up for a new account under my wife's name.

So now I lost my Diamond status. Only benefit I could tell from that was getting Peacock for free (not limited to 2 years).

The new account under my wife's name is active and I cancelled my account yesterday. If I login under my own account, which has no active service, my reward status still shows as Diamond and I can now sign up for all these offers under my name. So, I can resign under my name and cancel my few days old account that my wife signed for, and may be I will keep my Diamond status. Worth the hassle?

Just canceled Comcast Internet after 25 years they suck outages they raise the price without you knowing hoping you not checking every months bill and their sales people on the phone outright lie to you
Then they make it near impossible to cancel unless you a welfare mom who has nothing but time to sit on the phone for unlimited time in the middle of the day
And when you call them on their scamming not so much as an apology for outright stealing from you
RUN FROM THIS SHYT COMPANY
hoping my new AT&T fiber fairs better we've had it for a couple weeks no complaints from the family so far
I've been out of state so I guess I'll see ...

My bill is $60 per month for 1 gig speed in Atlanta suburb. I was told the contract breaking fees goes down $10 per month through the 12 months, so for you it should be 20$ given you have 2 months left in contract.

For existing customers, you don't need to create a new account, you don't have to cancel old account. Simply go to the offer, log in, change plans, and select this plan and go through the order procedures. Xfinity has simplified changing plans. I have done this in the past and just did it today. Was paying $65 for 1 gig, now my next bill estimate is showing up as $50. Again no cancelling is required, no equipment return required, simply login to your account and change plan.

i tried this and all my options are super expensive, 300 mbps is $70 and 1 gig is $100. how did you switch to this 5 year locked price by changing plan. can you give more details?

Great deal. I swore I would never go back to Comcast, but I can't get 2gig internet with Verizon in my area yet, and $70 is about what I'm paying for Gigabit internet with Verizon.

For those asking about upload speed, I was also worried when I saw max 35mbps upload on the checkout screen, but my email confirmation says 250Mbps, which is sufficient for me.

Edit: I just got my service installed and I'm getting about 2.3Gbps down and 270Mbps up.
