Xfinity Internet is powered by fiber and connected to premises by coaxial cable
One drawback to this is upload and download speeds are not symmetric - the headline advertised speed is the download speed, but upload speeds are typically significantly lower. For example, looking at the Broadband Facts of the 1 Gig plan in my area, they specify typical download speed at 1170 mbps and typical upload speed at 117 mbps. In the past in different areas, I've seen advertised typical upload speeds as low as 20-40 mbps.
That may be perfectly fine for many people, in which case this is a good deal. But make sure to take a look at the upload speed for your area and confirm that it's fast enough for your needs.

It looks to be a good savings, but I've had zero issues.
what's the benefit of the rewards account? I have never used any of it's perks. Any good ones?

I also looked up original order. It was on Feb 14, 2025;
It's called CONNECT with Internet Download speeds up to 150 Mbps; Upload speeds up to 20 Mbps. With one year contract discount, I am paying $40/month in Atlanta area.
It also has the following addition The offer is subject to the terms of your 12-month term contract.$110 Early Termination Fee applies.
I am not sure whether it's prorated and is reduced further down the contract?? How did they come up with a figure of $50 for you?
So now I lost my Diamond status. Only benefit I could tell from that was getting Peacock for free (not limited to 2 years).
The new account under my wife's name is active and I cancelled my account yesterday. If I login under my own account, which has no active service, my reward status still shows as Diamond and I can now sign up for all these offers under my name. So, I can resign under my name and cancel my few days old account that my wife signed for, and may be I will keep my Diamond status. Worth the hassle?
Then they make it near impossible to cancel unless you a welfare mom who has nothing but time to sit on the phone for unlimited time in the middle of the day
And when you call them on their scamming not so much as an apology for outright stealing from you
RUN FROM THIS SHYT COMPANY
hoping my new AT&T fiber fairs better we've had it for a couple weeks no complaints from the family so far
I've been out of state so I guess I'll see ...

For those asking about upload speed, I was also worried when I saw max 35mbps upload on the checkout screen, but my email confirmation says 250Mbps, which is sufficient for me.
Edit: I just got my service installed and I'm getting about 2.3Gbps down and 270Mbps up.
