Xfinity Internet is powered by fiber and connected to premises by coaxial cable
One drawback to this is upload and download speeds are not symmetric - the headline advertised speed is the download speed, but upload speeds are typically significantly lower. For example, looking at the Broadband Facts of the 1 Gig plan in my area, they specify typical download speed at 1170 mbps and typical upload speed at 117 mbps. In the past in different areas, I've seen advertised typical upload speeds as low as 20-40 mbps.
That may be perfectly fine for many people, in which case this is a good deal. But make sure to take a look at the upload speed for your area and confirm that it's fast enough for your needs.

So I believe the order is not completed UNTIL the modem is activated using the APP or activated by profession install.
You can try that. But good luck getting a human on the other end. Now-a-days it's very difficult to get a real person on any customer service line!
Couple things -
-Activating Peacock Problem
Has anyone had a problem activating the Peacock Premium? I had an olfactory peacock account briefly many years ago and the login info was the same for Xfinity and Peacock. When I picked up the modem at the Xfinity store, I asked the guy and he said to activate it, sign in with your Xfinity login info. It wouldn't let me do it since an old account already existed. I contacted Peacock and they were worthless and sent me to Xfinity and they said Peacock has to manually delete the old account. It got escalated and they are working on it.
-$50 Gift Card
I put the code in and it recognized it but I haven't received any info on it. I told the Xfifnty rep it was a virtual gift card and she said it can take 3 months to receive it. Anyone heard this?
Thanks again, overall awesome deal.

2. $50 prepaid card: I activated my new service few days ago and received an email from Comcast Incentives titled " Your Virtual Prepaid Mastercard is in the works" mentioning I would receive it after 90 days of maintaining services.
Hope that helps.
Just read through the comment section. Fellow SDers have pointed out detailed steps to get it done. But the basic idea is:

Your S33 and CM1200 won't take advantage of this, but this is only important if you're in a compatible area (not all areas are in the mid-split yet) and in higher tier internet packages (I have the 1.2gbps package, which gives me 100mbps upload instead of 35). But those 2 modems are still supported so all you'd have to do is plug them in and away you go.
But not all tiers or areas can support this "next gen speeds" so YMMV.
