It's fine. If you're going to do it to be proactive, I recommend doing it right before an oil change. Pour in, tank up, run fuel down to quarter tank or refuel, then oil change. Anything that combusts like contaminants kicked into the fuel, that then go into the engine, will then hit the oil and oil filter you're about to dump out during the oil change.
These don't actually do anything for DI engines that top tier fuels with detergents already do. Save up money for a valve cleaning instead of buying this stuff.
