I paid $900 for one of these just over a year ago from a different seller. Seems like a decent value for a one wanting a full size M chip MBP

I would rather have an Air than to pay this price for a 5-year-old Macbook pro

M4 MBA would have better CPU performance, better battery and new of course so a much better warranty. This still has a much better screen, a larger screen, faster GPU, more storage and is cheaper. For the right person, it can make sense.

Ah yes a 'pro' computer with no num pad.
tf lol... not every professional is a tax accountant
I use a 75% keyboard (no numpad) as a software engineer. Certainly wouldn't want to cram that into a laptop

These should be less than $400. It's still a 4 year old machine. You never know the battery usage or how beat up the machine can be. Not sure if Apple supports it or it's only covered by 3rd party. For a hundred more you could get new MBA for this price

The only reason I go for m1 is the relative cheap memory, and you can get 32/64 GB without spending too much. For 16 GB, I would go for M4 or even wait for M5.

"30 days returns. Seller pays for return shipping." - I wouldn't be too worried about getting a turd, if you do... just return it. It's also got the 1yr allstate warranty which is essentially a refund if something happens to go bad within that year.

Despite its age, this is still a very capable machine with a solid 3+ years left in it at this point for most folks, and will still best many similarly (or higher) priced new Windows laptops in many regards - battery life/efficiency in particular. That's just how far ahead of their time the M1 & M1 Pro devices were when they launched (AMD & Intel were busy pushing power limits through the roof to compete with one another - which is an awful approach for mobile computing).

...and for those that are saying 'get an Air instead' - sure, that's an option... but these things have significantly better displays and audio, if that's an important factor.

Same. Amazing value at this price for a 16 MBP. (Old M1 chip blah blah)
