Also available in Best Buy store on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/205814283029

Screen is TN. Box label pic in this eBay listing [ebay.com] says "LCD:14.0 FHD". Asus laptops with IPS screen would say something like [ebay.com] "LCD: 14.0 FHD WV" where WV stands for "Wide Viewing [angle]" aka IPS (Dell and HP uses "WVA").

Incidentally, that IPS screen laptop listed above is the Asus X1404VAP-V14.C58256 that was $280 during BF (I saw the price during Nov 22-27) and would've been a better deal if it were on sale again. It has a Core 5 120U CPU (a refresh of the Raptor Lake-U i5-1334U, same P+e core count, higher PassMark score than the i5 and even the i7-1355U). 8GB soldered + empty SODIMM slot and you can find used 8GB DDR4-3200 SODIMM on eBay for $21-25 (vs. close to $40 new).

There is no USB-C PD charging or DP out, all USB 3 ports are 5Gbps, screen is not bright, no backlit keyboard, battery is relatively small, and yes, budget laptops exist just like economy cars exist. And customer are mostly satisfied. If you think most customers care, just look at HP flooding the market with awful 768p/900p TN screens and they consistently get 4.5+ stars at BB/Amazon and I rest my case. Even Costco carries a Core Ultra 7 with 900p 17.3" screen [costco.com], WTF is wrong with Costco and HP?

I believe this is the older model as it has an Intel 13th core i5 which is about 15% slower than the Core 5 Series 1.

On the other hand, this does include 12 GB RAM which is 50% more than the newer model that only has 8 GB. Though I believe you can upgrade RAM for pretty cheap while you can't upgrade the processor.
