Game Details:
Cronos: The New Dawn is a brutal third-person survival horror where you fight for the future by salvaging the past. Burn monsters before they merge. Extract souls from the living. Adapt or die.
Set in a grim world where Eastern European brutalism meets retro-futurist technology, Cronos: The New Dawn lets you experience a gripping story that straddles the line between past and future.
The enemies you'll encounter are nightmarish creatures, born from the remnants of humanity – defeating them will require you to make full use of your arsenal.
The creatures you kill won't stay dead for long. Fallen enemies can be absorbed by others - through a grotesque process called Merging - to become faster, tougher, and far deadlier.

Has anyone played this? I've been interested in getting it, especially after the quality remake Silent Hill 2 got. Trailers for this give a dead space vibe.

I beat this game a couple weeks ago. It was very solid, story was good and kept me guessing the whole time (I still have questions as it doesn't wrap up everything perfectly, hoping this becomes a new IP with spin off sequels). It has that partial Dead Space vibe, but I would say this game is more story focused than Dead Space and the action is intense but different. You still get to upgrade things, choose different guns, have a ground stomp etc. I would say that if you like atmospheric survival horror this is a good purchase for you.
I'm playing through the game now. I'm a little over half way through it. Honestly the game is kind of boring and I have no idea what's going on in the story. The starting pistol is the best weapon, It has a charge shot with a cost of 1 bullet. There's no reason to use anything else, so there's a lack of variety in the gameplay. Also there's too much looting in this game. every time you loot 3 gears or chemicals you have to stop what you're doing and craft something. It get's very annoying after awhile and happens too frequently.

I got the pc version and it had a lot of bugs. I got stuck in the apartment after playing 3 hours and beating the first boss. Had to contact steam to refund as the auto refund did not work. I would avoid.

That's a you problem, and also PC. I've had zero problems on PS5.
