Sale is back, same kit from 3 weeks ago but $10 cheaper this time. I heard you could call customer service for price adjustment as long as it's within 30 days, but haven't tried yet

Eh it's decent deal for non-brushless. If you don't plan to use the tools often, it'll be fine. I prefer the brushless but the cost is a bit higher.

Didn't say it's brushless tho.
I've been waiting for brushless set since I missed the Ryobi day sale, but I'm kinda losing my hope on that... Seems like have to wait till mid year again unless we get lucky

Brushed are fine if you're not using the tools for your job.

Not a fan of huge combos since you're bound to have unnecessary ones, or ones you'd rather be higher quality. Brushless is a requirement of mine nowadays. More durable, more powerful, longer running.

Seems like it's a big issue; it's always called out. Maybe want to future-proof and get brushless, is my take.

True, but it's not much more expensive to get brushless and people should put it in the comments for people who don't know as much about tools.

I'm going to wait and see if the SKIL 12V brushless 10-tool kit goes on sale for under $200, like last year.

Brushed tools are fine for most scenarios, and were the norm for decades. Replacing the brush in a tool would (in the past) just be simple maintenance you'd do every couple years. It's not all hype though, brushless are more efficient, and not all tools have easily replaceable brushes. I have found Ryobi's HP/brushless tools to be a bit better in quality overall, but your not gonna notice anything cutting down a few 2x4s for a weekend project. Heck, I've been using a brushed Ryobi drill/driver daily for years and have yet to have any issues.

yes it should be.
just throwing it out here as an alternate, lowes has a 4-tool brushless (drill/impact/sander/4.5" one-hand saw/4ah battery) for $250 AND you can add 2 free tools from a big list (so 6 brushless tools, and NO flashlight . It has only 1x 4ah battery, and kobalt 24v is not as expansive as ryobi i think.
