Community Reviews

The 11 inch iPad A16 at $274 is a strong recent low for the Wi Fi 128GB model, with free shipping and color options that have cycled in and out of stock. It is described as very fast, capable with 6 GB of memory, and able to last about a day on battery. The keyboard port makes it feel close to a real computer, and the latest iPadOS adds the Liquid Glass feature. The main drawback is price volatility, with the listing bouncing between $274 and higher reseller or Walmart prices. A solid value when it is available at this level.

Free shipping makes the $274 Walmart price easier to use than Costco pricing.
Freshmilk
The iPad can feel like a computer when paired with a keyboard attachment using its special port.
aegrotatio
The iPad's 6 GB memory supports capable performance for everyday tasks.
aegrotatio
A PayPal targeted offer can reduce the effective cost when the discount appears in the mobile app.
FAL

Walmart stock and pricing can fluctuate, with the same colors returning to $274 and later showing higher prices.
Freshmilk Freshmilk IndigoMice8225
The iPad can feel rather heavy despite being super fast.
aegrotatio
A $327 price can come from reseller availability rather than Walmart stock.
gurlduckie
The discount may be tied to a PayPal targeted offer that is not shown well on Walmart's website.

Common Questions (3)

$274 is slightly below Costco's price for the same model and includes free shipping. It has only rarely been lower recently, with brief dips at Abt, US military exchanges, and targeted cashback offers.
Freshmilk FAL Freshmilk FAL
Yes. When Walmart stock is unavailable, the listing can show a higher reseller price such as $327 or $349 instead of the $274 Walmart price. Monitoring the listing can catch it when Walmart stock returns.
gurlduckie Freshmilk Freshmilk PharmD1972
It is fast, has 6 GB of memory, and battery life is about a day, so it can handle everyday use well. The main tradeoff is that it is rather heavy, and it does not add Pencil 2 support.

Over the past few weeks it was briefly lower at Abt and was lower for a bit at US military exchanges. Other than that, I haven't seen it lower. This is $0.99 lower than the Costco price on the same item that made the front page yesterday, and shipping is free unlike Costco. I also don't have a Costco membership Smilie

I was able to get two 11" A16s from Best Buy for $274ea with 20% cash back from Pay Pal Play Later option. But without a DeLorean, yeah, this is the best deal right now.

My preteen is really hoping for an ipad for a gift this year. Would this be the one to get? It's about the top end of our budget. Will we regret not spending a bit more for Pencil 2 capability?

It was at this price at Best Buy on Black Friday/Cyber Monday. Thankfully they price match themselves so I got $70 back.

It's super fast but rather heavy. It has 6 GB of memory which makes it very capable. The battery lasts about a day.

Make sure you upgrade to the latest iPadOS to get the "Liquid Glass" feature.
With a keyboard attachment (which it has a special port for) it looks and feels almost like a real computer.

If this is near the top of your budget then this is absolutely the one to get.

In general, this is probably close to the best value for the money you will ever get on an iPad.

Its not $327, just that it is out of stock for walmart. I think it goes in and out of stock, just have to monitor it... $327 is through a reseller that has availability.

Does Walmart have the same price guarantee as Best Buy? I got the pink one for my daughter's bday 2 weeks ago for $299, been seeing prices go up and down $274-349.
