Thanks OP, got two. This size is handy when you need just a bit more cord than the device you're trying to use has. Great price and free shipping with prime.

No clue, both seemed to have the same MSRP, I think they just individually priced them different without considering them together. Maybe they had more of one and dropped it further.

I bought one of each, I plan to get the most use out of the 10ft but sometimes you just need a couple feet and don't want all of the extra slack from a larger cable

Good deal, but just be advised that like most extension cords, if you add a splitter to this and power two high-amp devices, you could cross into the danger zone, since this doesn't support the full 15 or 20 amps that most residential circuits can push without tripping the breaker.

It's interesting/weird how so many random things sell out on Woot like this, things I wouldn't imagine would be that popular.

I think a lot of Woot's appeal is "getting a deal before it's sold out", and even though it's owned by amazon it still has that look like it was built in someones basement and runs off their own server, with some dude selling random stuff he found for super cheap. It's a lot of impulse buys that you might not buy at full price or even a sale price, but the thrill of getting in on a 'good deal' versus missing out on it, I think pushes a lot of people.

The other thing are just the prices -- an extension cord like this is probably going to run you $8-10.. Even the crappy walmart super-thin ones are like $3-4 bucks now, so to get a decent sized, thick extension cord for the same price makes it a deal even if you don't have a use for it right now. It makes people get creative about "What could I do with that?" and try to sell themself on it so they don't miss out on a deal.
