Nike briefly had a "Nike Refurbished" store in like 2023-24 where they sold factory defects and stuff like that at really great discounts. I got the all black version of these for like $85 and I couldn't discern any quality issues with them. They look great but they're pretty stylish so I haven't had many opportunities to wear them. They're obviously not worksite boots or, like, truly meant for heavy walking in snow and rain.

Be very careful with these shoes. Extremely slippery any surface that is remotely damp or wet. Slipped and fell wearing these the 1st time out. Returned to nike immediately.

surely if you wanted boots that didn't look like Jordans or Air Force 1s you'd be looking somewhere besides Nike?

But will they keep my toes dry? That is the real question.

So if they aren't for that stuff, are the for... snow basketball?

hahah. they will protect your feet from winter weather for sure, just not sure these are the ones you want to go trudging through heavy snow in or anything. I'd wear them out on the town during winter weather, but probably wouldn't go walking in a wintery forest or something like that in them. they'll look good in a casual outfit or dressed up a little, but the cosmetics are the big deal with these boots so you probably don't want to wear them in real, practical situations where they might get scuffed or damaged or soaked. they're low-grade-winter-activity boots that are pretty stylish.

This comment is hilarious because the same thing happened to me. Walked into wingstop and I'm assuming the floor was waxed, slipped and ate it. So after that I assumed this shoe is better for the actual outdoors. No problems since

Why does every shoe they make even 'boots' look like Jordans? Ugly and targeted only for the type they model it with

Yes and No. Nike is guilty of no imagination, returning to the same well over and over and trying to milk "retro" to the detriment of new innovation. That's why brands like Hoka/ON have diminished Nike's dominance. You can milk Air Force One's only so much...and make only so many variations of Jordan's before the mass determines you no longer innovate.

I got these on a SD last year. First winter in Detroit.

They are awesome. Pair with some warm socks and you'll stay warm and dry, and they're comfortable as heck.

FYI - these run small. I wish they had size 12 as these are some very comfortable shoes - Especially useful for those winter months in NYC (had to give up my 11.5 as they were too tight; I'm normally a size 11. I was a die-hard for Construction Timbs until I got these - Timbs are now permanently retired.

I've had these for two years. Very warm. Very comfortable. Very stylish. But yeah, the folks who talk of wet floors being very slippery with these shoes are totally correct. Still don't regret buying them, just know their limits.
