It does have a lid. Be handy to keep in the car for those instances you get stuck in traffic after your second couple of coffee.

I saw it in person the week before and thought it was overpriced compared with the HD one, seems to be like any other price comparison between HD and Lowe's

Lowes buckets in general are MUCH higher quality than the Home Depot ones.

Both Lowes and Costco us UV resistant plastic, but Home Depot uses the cheap stuff so their buckets become brittle and fall apart after about 14-18 months in the sun.
