Already have the BioShock remastered collection in my library, even though I didn't remember buying it, and have never installed or played it. A story often told.

If you're not aware, Valve is releasing their Steam machine next year. It's their living room PC

I just wish it wasn't going to be slower than a PS5 pro and more expensive to boot. (rumors but IMO seem valid)

Prices are rumors, even though Valve has already confirmed it'll be more expensive than a console. Performance is most likely going to be worse than PS5 pro based off the hardware.

Just a reminder, Sega is delisting Yakuza 0 on 12/8, and replacing it with the more expensive "Directors Cut" ($49.99) on all digital storefronts. So, if you are a fan of the Yakuza series and never played 0, now would be the best time. It's on sale on Steam for $10.99.

I ran an active fiber hdmi cable from my pc to the tv. One of the best purchases I've ever made. They get pricey quick for quality ones but you can get them in 100+ ft.

That thing is going to be an overpriced turd… generation old mid range mobile PC parts are guna perform great!!!
If they can somehow get the price down to $599 or so--and even bundle the Steam Controller 2 with it--then it might be a worthwhile purchase. Even at $599, I personally wouldn't buy it, but it could be worthwhile for some. But I highly, highly doubt it. You're better off waiting for a deal on a ~$1k prebuilt to pop up on SD.

I mean LTT/Linus and Reddit are pretty sure it will be $699 only if there are no changes in the market.

Isn't that more than a console? IDK PS3 used 15 years ago was the last console I bought. PS5 pro was around that price wasn't it? From what I've seen/read it seems like the performance will be between the PS5 and the PS5 pro?

Correct. A PS5 is $400/$450 digital/disc or $650 pro digital this bf. A series x though is now $650 (lol). I think the performance of the steam machine is rumored to be slightly worse than a ps5, but you'll run full linux on it to play almost anything including most emulators.

Regardless I just want it to survive so more things happen for Linux. Between MS shooting themselves in the head and Linux getting a boost I may be able to finally stop being lazy and jump to Linux.
