Kinda of. I have the stainless steel version. And the boiling water isn't really boiling it's extremely hot but not boiling. Which is perfect for teas but sucks if you want boiling water. For boiled eggs I take about 24 oz of boiling water from here and then it takes another 3 to 5mins on the stove for it to actually boil. The coffee it makes, it's great (8 of 10) and sometimes amazing but never perfect. I love my machine because it does a better job than all my previous machines. And if I want something better I can go to an upscale coffee shop. But this makes better coffee than most coffee shop I think. Granted it mostly depends on the beans or ground.
