Could be even better, I see on page 4 of the ad, target gift card is 10% off... get the gift card first and then use it on the watch.
I added watch to cart and i can see option to apply target GC.

Here's what my AI friend says- Key Upgrades in the Series 11 1. Battery Life (The Big One) For years, Apple stuck to an "18-hour" promise. The Series 11 bumps this to 24 hours. Why it matters: The Series 10 often required a quick charge before bed if you wanted to track sleep. The Series 11 can comfortably do a full day + sleep tracking + a morning workout on a single charge. 2. Durability The aluminum Series 11 uses a new ceramic coating on the front glass. Why it matters: The Series 10 (aluminum model) was prone to micro-scratches over time. The Series 11 is rated as twice as scratch-resistant, bridging the gap between the cheaper aluminum models and the expensive sapphire-crystal stainless steel/titanium models. 3. 5G Connectivity The Series 11 is the first to use 5G (RedCap) instead of LTE. Why it matters: If you leave your phone behind often (e.g., running, gym, dog walking), the watch connects faster and drains less battery while searching for a signal. 4. Health Sensors While the hardware is largely the same, the Series 11 leans heavily into Hypertension (High Blood Pressure) alerts. Note: This feature monitors trends rather than giving you specific systolic/diastolic numbers, alerting you if you are consistently showing signs of hypertension so you can see a doctor. Final Verdict If you already own a Series 10, do not upgrade. The changes are nice quality-of-life improvements, but the speed and look are exactly the same. If you are upgrading from an older watch (Series 7, 8, or 9), the Series 11 is the better buy solely for the 24-hour battery, which makes living with the watch significantly less annoying.
It's very disturbing to me how often people are using LLMs as as source on SD. Please stop quoting them as a reference. People are here because we want the lived experience of real people to help inform our decisions regarding what is/isn't a good deal. If I wanted insights from an LLM I can do that myself.

And just to drive the point home by engaging with the actual comparison between the two watches, what you shared is useless information. OF COURSE the 11 is better than the 10, nothing you shared helps buyers get a better idea of what actually matters, which is which version is the better DEAL.

You can also get another 5% off if you use your Target Red Card, which could save you $15 or more depending on which watch you buy.

Is this watch worth it if you don't care for the fitness features?

Yes. I love being able to just glance at my Apple Watch for texts and notifications instead of pulling my iPhone out. Phone calls, setting reminders, timers and alarms with my voice is more efficient too. Music, Maps, and a myriad of other helpful uses too. Great device.

It depends on your needs. I've been using an Apple Watch since the Series 3, but I'm quite tired of the constant notifications, reminders to stand up, and prompts to close your rings. If you don't need someone to remind you to exercise, aren't concerned about potential heart issues, and are relatively young and healthy, I believe any smartwatch is excessive. Recently, I've been rediscovering the joy of non-smartwatches by revisiting my collection of traditional watches.

Great deal to combine the 10% off the Target gift card promo with the Apple Watch on sale. For an even slicker deal, buy the gift card with PayPal linked to your Chase Freedom Flex card and get another 5% cash back or 5x Chase Ultimate Rewards points. PayPal is 5x back for the month of December.

I appreciate you're feedback on user experience. Just to clarify, I am pulling the trigger on a an Ultra and was equally concerned about all the notifications (health and otherwise). I pulled the documentation to learn these mentioned annoyances are are fully configurable to shut off. I feel the same way about the last few years of IOS updates introducing new features that are enabled by default, and on the opposite side, configuring the Focus Modes.
