They are not bad, but not great. Great convertible should have 8"-10" vertical zipper from the bottom to let you take off bottom part without taking off your shoes.

Costco a couple times during year has BC clothing convertible cargo pants. Pretty solid quality if on sale for around $15 or less

Totally agree, I have bought them in every color. Usually 90 cotton and 10 stretch material. The pockets are deep and usually one has a zipper, so makes them more difficult to be pick pocked.

I had multiple pairs for a decade and loved them. A few years back, Columbia made a change, and they no longer feel the same. I'm down to my last two pairs, but every time I try them in the store, I give them back and walk away sad.
