Our city specifically states to not flush these, as it then requires a diver to go into neck deep **** to unclog the city's sewer infrastructure.

I've been flushing cottonelle wipes in a 1980's home I've owned for 15 years, into a septic tank. Before I started this habit, I dropped a couple in a glass of water to see what they did. They took longer than TP, but they broke down to my satisfaction.

disclaimer: I did this test 15 years ago, using the regular wipes (blue package, not green package). I haven't checked again recently, so the formula could have changed. regardless, 2-4 wipes every single morning. I haven't had any clogs, and my septic operates as it should (I get it pumped every 5 or 6 years as you should, wipes or no wipes). There are OTHER brands I've tried, which did NOT break down in a reasonable amount of time. so the words "flushable" are not magic unfortunately. But cottonelle gets a thumbs up in my house.

Yes, it says "flushable," but they are not. They can clog up drain pipes, resulting in expensive repairs.
