It sounds pretty slick on paper, just keep in mind some considerations:

- Phone sales tax- due at sign up.
- Monthly Taxes. Like someone mentioned can be as high as $9/line per month
- Activation fees. Apparently $40 per line, but maybe you can get waived?
- Verizon has historically said allow 1-2 billing cycles for discounts to appear. Well, if they don't appear be prepared to spend multiple calls and hours to try and get them to honor their agreement.
- This service plan is the lowest unlimited so don't get the ultra wideband (faster 5g) or hot spot.
- to take full advantage of the discount you have to keep the lines for 3 years. That's a long time to be locked in. Theoretical scenario: if you pulled all 4 lines out after 2 years would owe around $1500 for the phone pay offs.

While a good price, I think they are trying to get you to sign up, and then bc you'll be frustrated with the lower plan will upgrade at a significant cost ($40/line instead of $25).

It's equivalent to most Verizon-based MVNOs and Visible's lowest tier.
This reddit post [reddit.com] explains data prioritization for the 3 major carriers and the MVNOs on them.

Here's the taxes for my CA city if anyone's interested

Fed Universal Service Charge: $0.41
Regulatory Charge: $0.21
Admin & Telco Recovery Charge: $3.78
CA State 911 Surcharge: $0.41
CA State 988 Surcharge: $0.08
CA Universal Service PPP Fee: $0.90
Emerg Comm Acc Tax: $3.22
City UUT: $0.28
Total charges per line = $9.29

It's still a really good deal if you're in the market for new iPhones

Why is that relevant when it's purchased on installment plan over 36 months.

Are you going to put a second eSIM in it while still paying Verizon each month in order to get the monthly credits from Verizon?

I'm not sure what play/deal I'm missing.
A use case, for me at least, could be multi-week international travel several times a year.

So good to head that! I am also in SoCal. But I have problem to place any order. Maybe it's the browser problem? Or I need to create a Verizon account first?
You don't need to sign up. I signed up after I placed the order. The website was crashing earlier but working rn.

I have 4 lines to move to Verizon. Is the $300 Gift Card per line? Also I have teacher discount, can I stack with this?

Depends on what you think is a "deal". Pricing is decent for a family planning to stick with Verizon for three years. They have indeed the best coverage as a whole.
The problem is after two months, the phone is unlocked but you can't "leave" and use a cheaper plan elsewhere because you are still on the hook to recoup the credits amounting to 1100.
This is not a contract and yet, it is a contract of sorts.
Where they make money is (y)our temptation to upgrade/trade in for a better Iphone when the next best thing comes out. Then, basically, you swap out the current handset for a new one and continue to stick with them and their plan pricing.
If you are disciplined and won't be tempted by Iphone 18 Pro, 19, whatever, then yes, roughly, $29 (after taxes) per person x 36 = 1054(ish) is what you are paying for full on Verizon service and a "free" device"

The Real Deal here:
1) $300 + tax for 3 months of 4 Lines + iPhones
2) $140 activation fee for Big Red (call and ask for waive)
3) $400 Tax on phones
4) $120 1 month of Magenta
5) $140 activation fee for Magenta (waive at Costco or Sam's)
= $1,100 give or take spent on 4 iPhones Pro 256 GB
Bill credits = contract. You can't walk away after 3 months with the phones without paying off the balance

Thank you. I added to the cart and it took only teachers discounts and make it $100/4 lines. Did not stack on top of existing offer.

One more Question, Out of 4 lines I plan to buy I would like to use the new phone on only 3 lines. The 4th line would like to use their existing phone. So if i transfer the esim from new phone back into old phone, will it invalidate the promo or gift card or unlocking?

I purchased Verizon service with 4 iPhone 17 in last week's Thanksgiving deal. I have not switched service yet or used the new phones from Verizon yet. Does Verizon match my service to the current deal? Has anyone done this? Since I have not switched my service, is it possible to cancel and get a better deal? Any suggestions on how to go about it?

If the phone is unlocked after two months, can you put in an eSIM to use for international trips while continuing to remain on the plan and paying every month? Just looking for a solution for an occasional international trip

Unlocked phones are helpful when you are traveling international and need a local sim. Also you can technically use the same phone for work and personal lines if they are on different carriers.

Successfully placed the order. The total, including taxes, was 441. I'm in SoCal for reference. I was also able to get a pop-up for $300 Verizon GC, and a certain blue cashback site is also offering $150 back.
So what will your monthly bill be for the four lines?
