It sounds pretty slick on paper, just keep in mind some considerations:

- Phone sales tax- due at sign up.
- Monthly Taxes. Like someone mentioned can be as high as $9/line per month
- Activation fees. Apparently $40 per line, but maybe you can get waived?
- Verizon has historically said allow 1-2 billing cycles for discounts to appear. Well, if they don't appear be prepared to spend multiple calls and hours to try and get them to honor their agreement.
- This service plan is the lowest unlimited so don't get the ultra wideband (faster 5g) or hot spot.
- to take full advantage of the discount you have to keep the lines for 3 years. That's a long time to be locked in. Theoretical scenario: if you pulled all 4 lines out after 2 years would owe around $1500 for the phone pay offs.

While a good price, I think they are trying to get you to sign up, and then bc you'll be frustrated with the lower plan will upgrade at a significant cost ($40/line instead of $25).

It's equivalent to most Verizon-based MVNOs and Visible's lowest tier.
This reddit post [reddit.com] explains data prioritization for the 3 major carriers and the MVNOs on them.

Here's the taxes for my CA city if anyone's interested

Fed Universal Service Charge: $0.41
Regulatory Charge: $0.21
Admin & Telco Recovery Charge: $3.78
CA State 911 Surcharge: $0.41
CA State 988 Surcharge: $0.08
CA Universal Service PPP Fee: $0.90
Emerg Comm Acc Tax: $3.22
City UUT: $0.28
Total charges per line = $9.29

It's still a really good deal if you're in the market for new iPhones

Guys. Guys.. You buy this plan from provider V and after the phones are unlocked you find a cellphone company that will pay your phone off when you "switch". We will call them provider T. You pay provider T for 3 months and get the pay off for the phones. You pay off provider V. You cancel provider T. You now own 4 phones for about the price of 1.

Another scenario.
Take the deal. Sign up for provider T but don't cancel V. Provider T sends you prepaid visa cards for cell phone payoff. Don't use for phone payoff, instead just keep letting provider V give you the monthly credit.
In scenario one why do you need to keep T for 3 months? Also, can you explain your logic in the second scenario, you can't have T pay off your phone balances while keeping your lines with V, you have to port your lines over to T in order for T to pay for your phone balances.

Dang how did you get them to pay off your old phone? I got the activation fee and stuff waived but not that lol... they told me the 300 and national discount isnt stackable with that
That doesn't sound right. They should be able to stack everything to entice you to jump ship. I just told them I had a balance and if they could pay it off on top of waiving the activation fees for 4 lines + the gift card and they did all of that. Never said no to my requests, but maybe their policy changed now? I placed my order about 2 weeks ago.

Trying to push them on it now. Is it called anything specific on your receipt?

I went through the whole order on chat. The rep added activation fees in the first review cart, but I asked politely to have it waived.

Here's what the rep explained:

Unlimited Welcome for 4 lines: $160

National offer discount: brings it down to $140

Autopay discount: brings it to $100

Taxes and fees: about $30

Nurse discount: –$20

Also, they will pay off my current T-Mobile phone. It'll come in giftcard + $300 giftcard.

You'll have to pay taxes for phones today.

So my monthly total comes out to about $110/month with everything included and brand-new phones.
First I did it under person who's credit was just about 1 year so they wanted down payment of $390 something because of low credit history. So I opted out saying I have to pay down here, plus taxes, pay off my current provider, and that will go over my budget so they said we'll pay off but need to mail them that device.

Anybody got the activation waived off after putting order online since reading the posts it seems like the $300 GC is only available while ordering online.

Try over chat. That's why I recommend people to read, read, read all the comments before finalizing, just glance at it once and one may find useful tips.

FYI I was able to add one line to my account with the free 17 Pro 256 and a 300 gift card on the low-end welcome plan. CSR also waived the activation fee.
Very interesting. Could you add more if you wanted. Do you get a discount for each line added? If you had four lines total would it still end up being $100 - even if added separately?

^^^^^^^^^^
I can't stress this enough. I have been with verizon for years and have spent perhaps a majority of my life on the phone trying to get them to honor any sort of deal or promotion they have. HOURS AND HOURS of phone calls and callbacks and escalations to departments. What's worse is their reps can't see most of their own systems and they definitely cannot see across departments (like mobile and phone are completely separate entities) making it so much of a hassle. I could afford a house down payment with the amount of money they've promised and not delivered from all these sales, gift cards, promos, that are NEVER HONORED.

That being said it is the best deal on iphones this quarter as of right now. Assuming they honor it. At 25/line i highly doubt it considering their unlimited welcome plan is $30/line with autopay enabled. I dont know how they would bring it down to 25 on their system, their entire infrastructure stack is trash.
Never had Verizon service before but boy this comment is scary!

Online they give 20 dollars per account discount so i.e is how it comes down to 25 per line. Also one should add around 10 dollars per line i.e total of 40 dollars as taxes, so real cost is 140 dollars. per month for 4 lines.

Unless I'm reading it wrong I'm seeing about ~7 dollars extra per month for all 4 lines? Not per line...
