It sounds pretty slick on paper, just keep in mind some considerations:

- Phone sales tax- due at sign up.
- Monthly Taxes. Like someone mentioned can be as high as $9/line per month
- Activation fees. Apparently $40 per line, but maybe you can get waived?
- Verizon has historically said allow 1-2 billing cycles for discounts to appear. Well, if they don't appear be prepared to spend multiple calls and hours to try and get them to honor their agreement.
- This service plan is the lowest unlimited so don't get the ultra wideband (faster 5g) or hot spot.
- to take full advantage of the discount you have to keep the lines for 3 years. That's a long time to be locked in. Theoretical scenario: if you pulled all 4 lines out after 2 years would owe around $1500 for the phone pay offs.

While a good price, I think they are trying to get you to sign up, and then bc you'll be frustrated with the lower plan will upgrade at a significant cost ($40/line instead of $25).

It's equivalent to most Verizon-based MVNOs and Visible's lowest tier.
This reddit post [reddit.com] explains data prioritization for the 3 major carriers and the MVNOs on them.

Here's the taxes for my CA city if anyone's interested

Fed Universal Service Charge: $0.41
Regulatory Charge: $0.21
Admin & Telco Recovery Charge: $3.78
CA State 911 Surcharge: $0.41
CA State 988 Surcharge: $0.08
CA Universal Service PPP Fee: $0.90
Emerg Comm Acc Tax: $3.22
City UUT: $0.28
Total charges per line = $9.29

It's still a really good deal if you're in the market for new iPhones

The point is, they're not discounting the Pro Max as much, knocking off $1100 for the Pro vs $1020 for the Pro Max.

Meanwhile, the Pixel 10 Pro XL gets the full $1200 discount. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Yes. It goes by market value. Try selling that pixel after just 6 months you'll get less than $700

Sadly I waited to do the switch until today and looks like the cashback has gone down to $75. It was the site starting with R and ending in ten that had $150 yesterday.
Bummer, same boat. I waited since was trying to see if anyone has luck with getting four $300 gift cards.
Anyone have any luck with the Citibank cash back? You just need lot open the account with Citibank card?

I used to be with Verizon my line itself was only $90/month but my bill came at ~$112 every month. So that's taxes, line access fees, and other BS fees to the tune of ~$22 every month. THATS PER LINE!!

When I add an iPhone 17 Pro Max, the 4.99 rate you mentioned is only with the unlimited plus ($45 per month). When I switch it to the Welcome plan it says I will need to pay 9.99 a month. Anyone else seeing this?

In for 4 lines. Was able to waive the activation fee ($40 * 4) after chatting with customer rep. Ymmv
Did you chat prior to purchase or after? I'm assuming prior. Did the whole transaction go through the customer rep?

For 1 line, definitely MVNO is the way to go. Tello uses T-Mobile towers and has a cheap unlimited plan, normally $25 they are offering it for $15, but only for 3 months. The absolute best MVNO offer right now is from PureTalk which uses AT&T towers. Offer is $29.95/month for their top unlimited plan which normally costs $65/month. And the rate is locked for life! But you have to hurry, the offer ends at the end of the day 12/07/2025.

Us mobile has all 3 carriers to choose I think top plan is $25/month with current ongoing promos. Hotspot, International calling, data all

I went through the whole order on chat. The rep added activation fees in the first review cart, but I asked politely to have it waived.

Here's what the rep explained:

Unlimited Welcome for 4 lines: $160

National offer discount: brings it down to $140

Autopay discount: brings it to $100

Taxes and fees: about $30

Nurse discount: –$20

Also, they will pay off my current T-Mobile phone. It'll come in giftcard + $300 giftcard.

You'll have to pay taxes for phones today.

So my monthly total comes out to about $110/month with everything included and brand-new phones.

The problem is not in the submission. The problem is figuring out what the code is. I feel it is intentional that the code is not shared so that the 60 day period would run off
My rep shared the code to my over chat.

Oh, good catch – yeah, they give even less of a discount on the Pro Max when opting for the cheapest plan; what a jack.

FYI I was able to add one line to my account with the free 17 Pro 256 and a 300 gift card on the low-end welcome plan. CSR also waived the activation fee.

I second this, I had the order already to go in my cart and I was about to check out then I started the chat, that's when they confirmed that the representative has to place the order on your behalf to get the activation discount, so I saved my cart to my email address, shared that with them, and we were able to proceed I suggest for others to do it this way too, so you see exactly what you're getting, and then they can just copy your order, heads up that they will be trying to sell you things during the chat
