It sounds pretty slick on paper, just keep in mind some considerations:

- Phone sales tax- due at sign up.
- Monthly Taxes. Like someone mentioned can be as high as $9/line per month
- Activation fees. Apparently $40 per line, but maybe you can get waived?
- Verizon has historically said allow 1-2 billing cycles for discounts to appear. Well, if they don't appear be prepared to spend multiple calls and hours to try and get them to honor their agreement.
- This service plan is the lowest unlimited so don't get the ultra wideband (faster 5g) or hot spot.
- to take full advantage of the discount you have to keep the lines for 3 years. That's a long time to be locked in. Theoretical scenario: if you pulled all 4 lines out after 2 years would owe around $1500 for the phone pay offs.

While a good price, I think they are trying to get you to sign up, and then bc you'll be frustrated with the lower plan will upgrade at a significant cost ($40/line instead of $25).

It's equivalent to most Verizon-based MVNOs and Visible's lowest tier.
This reddit post [reddit.com] explains data prioritization for the 3 major carriers and the MVNOs on them.

Here's the taxes for my CA city if anyone's interested

Fed Universal Service Charge: $0.41
Regulatory Charge: $0.21
Admin & Telco Recovery Charge: $3.78
CA State 911 Surcharge: $0.41
CA State 988 Surcharge: $0.08
CA Universal Service PPP Fee: $0.90
Emerg Comm Acc Tax: $3.22
City UUT: $0.28
Total charges per line = $9.29

It's still a really good deal if you're in the market for new iPhones

Any world where it's advantageous to sign up for 4 lines when you only need 2? Not sure I'm entirely tracking to switching over to T after 6 months and how that would put you out ahead on this deal.

That depends on how much you are paying with T-Mobile currently. In future you can give the other 2 lines to someone.

This deal would've been a no-brainer if it had a decent plan.

if you can get visible +pro annual with all the discounts + cashback + card offer, it would be $13 extra per line (atleast for my case)with unlimited ultimate level data for you. am just waiting for the 7th month from now to do keep and switch

T-mobile thing is not a deal, people are just fantasizing without reading the fine print.

T-mobile thing is where they will pay off your phone (up to $800) if you switch to them. But you have to trade in your phone (so goodby iphone 17 pro) and then you get a t-mobile phone on bill credits again, which is right where you started.

With just two lines I would think about whether or not its worth the deal. Two lines is 65/mo, but realistically 85/mo after taxes. Thats $3000 over three years. That isn't that much cheaper than just buying two iphones and getting a visible or usmobile plan for $20/month including taxes.

I've tried multiple chat agents and 2 phone agents. Nobody was able to ship 2 phones to Detroit and 2 phones to Chicago.
I am able to get this done with my rep.

Any idea if they'll knock off the $40 activation fee or even the iPhone sales tax (~$80) if I call customer care?

Even we didn't received iPhones to different places, which we needed. I guess for new customer they are sending just one package with all the phones

This is not true. For the Keep and Switch promotion you do not have to turn in your phone nor do you have to purchase a phone from T-Mobile.

Some of those potentially can't be avoided at all. TMO customers just don't see it because they conceal it in their billing setup.

That "Admin & Telco Recovery" is suspicious. This might be vzw getting more revenue

No trade in required. You have to bring over and activate the same device you are getting reimbursed for though. You can leave T as soon as the reimbursement is dispersed which can happen within 1 month of T service.
