It sounds pretty slick on paper, just keep in mind some considerations:

- Phone sales tax- due at sign up.
- Monthly Taxes. Like someone mentioned can be as high as $9/line per month
- Activation fees. Apparently $40 per line, but maybe you can get waived?
- Verizon has historically said allow 1-2 billing cycles for discounts to appear. Well, if they don't appear be prepared to spend multiple calls and hours to try and get them to honor their agreement.
- This service plan is the lowest unlimited so don't get the ultra wideband (faster 5g) or hot spot.
- to take full advantage of the discount you have to keep the lines for 3 years. That's a long time to be locked in. Theoretical scenario: if you pulled all 4 lines out after 2 years would owe around $1500 for the phone pay offs.

While a good price, I think they are trying to get you to sign up, and then bc you'll be frustrated with the lower plan will upgrade at a significant cost ($40/line instead of $25).

It's equivalent to most Verizon-based MVNOs and Visible's lowest tier.
This reddit post [reddit.com] explains data prioritization for the 3 major carriers and the MVNOs on them.

Here's the taxes for my CA city if anyone's interested

Fed Universal Service Charge: $0.41
Regulatory Charge: $0.21
Admin & Telco Recovery Charge: $3.78
CA State 911 Surcharge: $0.41
CA State 988 Surcharge: $0.08
CA Universal Service PPP Fee: $0.90
Emerg Comm Acc Tax: $3.22
City UUT: $0.28
Total charges per line = $9.29

It's still a really good deal if you're in the market for new iPhones

Was thinking of jumping ship from Helium for new iPhones (Wife and I have 13 Pro Max's), but guys, UW capped at 25Mbps? That is BRUTAL. This is mine right now INSIDE my house. No thanks.
Running Speedtest and seeing 500mbps sure is nice.

But in practically, what does a phone genuinely need that bandwidth for?

I've seen several posts mentioning that the activation fee can be removed through chat. How do I actually open the chat? I can't reach a real person—it keeps asking me to log in to an account, which I don't have.

This has got to be the worst wireless company ever. I spent two hours last night signing up and getting everything done. Congradulations your all set. I get the E-mails this morning and everything is shipped out and on the way. A few hours later. Sorry we couldnt validate your Identity the order is cancelled and could not be processed? So another two hours on the phone of which about 5 minutes was actually talking to India. With a Sorry but I can sell you pre paid service??? I asked what about my identity they couldn't confirm and she said "I cant tell you that". I still have tracking and its moving through the carrier. So am I a customer or not? I think alot of people are going to get free bricked phones out of this deal. How can a company be so un organized? Are supposed to now sit on the phone again for two hours to figure out how and where to sen the phones back to them? Absolute insanity.I have said it before if people want to lobby for something I think it should be a true Fifteen Minute Rule. If you are a Customer of a Buisness and or Service and you have to call them and or they have to contact you the telephone conversation should be No more then fifteen minutes. They have all of your customer information in front of them. They should be prepared for your questions as you should for them. No hold on while i pull up your information. Its right there in front of them. Sorry Rant Over Good Luck.
Same shit happened to me. After ordering through chat, told to call 844 number and give the application number. Rep from the Philippines I assumed, said Verizon cannot validate me despite submitting my ID, picture, and credit card info. Chat person said call back again. Called again and was able to validate. I received a notification that the order is shipped today. Upon checking, saw message on UPS saying the sender is requesting return of the package. I received a message to call the 844 number again. 5 minutes later, the order was released. I asked the rep what's behind the hassle. He said he doesn't know but just read of what's on his screen.

It's like Verizon's left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.

Verizon will flag you. I had my order send to my work address because of signature requirement for the package and was flagged. Had to call them to clarify.

844 number? do you mean 888-483-7200? That's what my email had me call. These companies are dysfunctional lol.

I didn't personally see it on their site, but someone else mentioned it. The unlimited welcome plan didn't have UW at all, now capped at 25Mbps.

Did it go through for you? I'm trying to set up these as new phones for my parents. UPS made a detour to deliver it. Then I couldn't activate it. Called CS and after being routed 3 times, they said wait 24 hours because the account is supposed to be processed today, hence why I received the fraud email. And the delivery is simply too early. So I can't even activate my account yet till tomorrow

Nobody at this company knows what to do. Some say I need to activate Verizon account before activating phones and porting numbers. The person I then got transferred to activate Verizon account said no, you need to activate phone first. I said, but I need a Verizon PIN in order to activate phone. They said "please hold..." and proceeded to find me someone else who so far hasn't responded.

Three hours, and nothing to show for it.

But your explanation might be why I can't get anything done. I'll just pack it up and wait a day, I guess....

LOL one rep was like, "This hasn't been delivered yet, right?" Great, they can't even see the status of their deliveries?

It's like they don't want new customers!
