It sounds pretty slick on paper, just keep in mind some considerations:

- Phone sales tax- due at sign up.
- Monthly Taxes. Like someone mentioned can be as high as $9/line per month
- Activation fees. Apparently $40 per line, but maybe you can get waived?
- Verizon has historically said allow 1-2 billing cycles for discounts to appear. Well, if they don't appear be prepared to spend multiple calls and hours to try and get them to honor their agreement.
- This service plan is the lowest unlimited so don't get the ultra wideband (faster 5g) or hot spot.
- to take full advantage of the discount you have to keep the lines for 3 years. That's a long time to be locked in. Theoretical scenario: if you pulled all 4 lines out after 2 years would owe around $1500 for the phone pay offs.

While a good price, I think they are trying to get you to sign up, and then bc you'll be frustrated with the lower plan will upgrade at a significant cost ($40/line instead of $25).

It's equivalent to most Verizon-based MVNOs and Visible's lowest tier.
This reddit post [reddit.com] explains data prioritization for the 3 major carriers and the MVNOs on them.

Here's the taxes for my CA city if anyone's interested

Fed Universal Service Charge: $0.41
Regulatory Charge: $0.21
Admin & Telco Recovery Charge: $3.78
CA State 911 Surcharge: $0.41
CA State 988 Surcharge: $0.08
CA Universal Service PPP Fee: $0.90
Emerg Comm Acc Tax: $3.22
City UUT: $0.28
Total charges per line = $9.29

It's still a really good deal if you're in the market for new iPhones

After placing an order, I was asked to contact their fraud department and upload my driver's license, a utility bill, and a selfie. Despite following the instructions, they kept insisting I had uploaded a saved photo instead of taking a live selfie. I repeated the process several times, but they ultimately said they couldn't verify my identity and canceled the order.

The entire experience made me feel like I was being treated as a potential criminal. I've been a loyal T-Mobile customer for over 10 years, and I plan to continue with them.

I'm with visible... not eligible for this
I just completed an order today for 3 lines from Visible. I did it via chat and there were no issues. I just had to provide the phone numbers, email addresses, and last four of the IMEI's that were associated with each Visible line. Phones should be arriving in 2 days. Then I have to wait until Christmas to finish the activation process since 2 of the phones are gifts for my kids. They said I have 30 days to activate from the time I receive the phones. But that the billing will still be effective from when I receive the phones. I got all the activation fees waived and am eligible for the $300 gift card still.

The company advertises 4 lines for $100 but place a fraud flag if you purchase multiple lines. Odd.
My package is still enroute, which means nothing until I signed for it.

The message I received yesterday:

Hello this is [rep name] from Verizon the one who assist you on your order. I was notified by our system that your order or account got hold. We do have some system issue due to multiple order with the current promotion. Can you please call this number 888-483-7200 and provide application number XXXXXXXXX

I spent 2 hours on a chat getting the activation fees waived and getting a device payoff. The one upside is the rep was preemptive and told me that if I received and email stating the order was on hold due to verification to call 1-888-483-7200 and select option 3, then select option 1 to expedite the process. Sure enough, I received the email and instead of uploading the pictures they requested, I called as instructed and the block was cleared within a couple of minutes without having to upload any pictures.

The primary concern here is that the phone is being shipped prior to the verification email being sent. If there is a delay in the verification process, the system automatically cancels the order, and a ticket is generated for the package to be returned.

My suggestion would be to see if there is a Verizon store in nearby where you could pick up the phones. This way, the order would be on hold even if it's pending for verification before the pickup rather than being canceled.

Not in my case. I was told to call fraud line immediately after the order while the rep is still on chat with me. She waited. Fraud cleared the order along with an email saying order is approved. The rep saw the same message. I received a shipping notification on Monday. Upon checking the status on UPS site, I saw the message sender requesting return. I was told to call again and after second time, the order was cleared. I won't celebrate until the order is signed.

I received a verification email after the phone had already been shipped, I was busy so called 2hrs later which resulted in the order being canceled.

After I completed the verification process via phone call and document upload, the order was approved. However, FedEx still returning the order because Verizon's system requested it. It took me two hours to resolve this issue, confirming that the old order was canceled and redoing everything.

I get that verification is a big deal if they're linking $4-5k to your social number, but orders shouldn't get canceled. They really need to fix this before doing more promos, instead of wasting everyone's time, including customers and customer service reps.

I think those of us that have spent over 6-8 hours intermitantly on the phone with verizon need to send them a bill. Also by the way has anyone on this thread gotten phones and sucessfull activation(S)?

How did you resolve this issue? Did you cancel the old order and place a new one?

I called in to order everything since someone had mentioned the bonus $30 bill credit for 36 months. The rep applied it and told me my bill would be $98 after taxes/fees each month. Woohoo
