It sounds pretty slick on paper, just keep in mind some considerations:

- Phone sales tax- due at sign up.
- Monthly Taxes. Like someone mentioned can be as high as $9/line per month
- Activation fees. Apparently $40 per line, but maybe you can get waived?
- Verizon has historically said allow 1-2 billing cycles for discounts to appear. Well, if they don't appear be prepared to spend multiple calls and hours to try and get them to honor their agreement.
- This service plan is the lowest unlimited so don't get the ultra wideband (faster 5g) or hot spot.
- to take full advantage of the discount you have to keep the lines for 3 years. That's a long time to be locked in. Theoretical scenario: if you pulled all 4 lines out after 2 years would owe around $1500 for the phone pay offs.

While a good price, I think they are trying to get you to sign up, and then bc you'll be frustrated with the lower plan will upgrade at a significant cost ($40/line instead of $25).

It's equivalent to most Verizon-based MVNOs and Visible's lowest tier.
This reddit post [reddit.com] explains data prioritization for the 3 major carriers and the MVNOs on them.

Here's the taxes for my CA city if anyone's interested

Fed Universal Service Charge: $0.41
Regulatory Charge: $0.21
Admin & Telco Recovery Charge: $3.78
CA State 911 Surcharge: $0.41
CA State 988 Surcharge: $0.08
CA Universal Service PPP Fee: $0.90
Emerg Comm Acc Tax: $3.22
City UUT: $0.28
Total charges per line = $9.29

It's still a really good deal if you're in the market for new iPhones

Yea I was shocked by how terrible Verizon's support is. I thought because traditionally they've been the most expensive carrier that support would be better than a Boost mobile type carrier. Nope, IF you're lucky enough to be given a human, they're on the other side of the world and can't provide any answers.

Phones were supposed to be out for delivery today, but I got a random notice from FedEx saying they're being returned to sender. NIGHTMARE purchase all things considered.

"Due to shipper restrictions, additional delivery options are not available for this shipment. For more information please contact the shipper."

I feel like it was easier to talk a human at Total Wireless. Who is owned by Verizon. This is shockingly bad.

Went to the store they matched the deal. Waived the activation fee and gave me $500 gift card to pay off one of the phone. Instead of $300 gift card they gave me $300 bill credit, that was the only difference. Saved $140 on activation.
Activation fee is $40/line, how did you save $140? How many lines did you open

I spent 3 hours on a livechat getting this all set up, 4 new phones, 4 lines, swapping ours and my parents lines over to verizon. I got them to waive the activation fees and honor the 300 dollar gift card... then the phones never arrived. I got an email saying the order was being canceled and to call if I thought that was a mistake, so I did. They said they needed scans of my ID because it had been tagged as fraud. I did that, they said it was all good and the phones were on the way. Waited a few more days, never heard anything. You can track them through what verizon provides because there is no actual tracking number. Just says "on the way." I call yesterday and the dude said they were a state or two away. I call again today to see if I can get a tracking number and the guy says they are being returned to Verizon because they tried to deliver them three times and I wasnt there.

I let him know about the previously mentioned info, and that we have a driveway and front door camera showing they did not try to deliver them. He said my only option at this point was to redo the whole order and set up a new contract. I let him know I would not be using verizon and just wanted to cancel everything. I had to threaten to turn over the video, email, and chat logs to my credit card company to do a chargeback before they agreed to refund everything. So at this point 5 hours down the drain, and never looking at Verizon again. If they are this stupid when trying to set up service, I cant even imagine the level of frustration if I had an issue as an established customer. Idiots at every level of the company evidently. A far fall from the premium customer focused experience Verizon used to be.

Had same situation rep said FedEx tried 3 delivery attempt so it's being returned to sender. I told her to double check the tracking. When the package just arrived to my state early morning before 3hrs and wasn't even out of delivery.

If you do the math:
Tax on four phones: $390
Per month cost $100 + $20(tax) =$120
Total you pay for three years: $120x 36 =$4,320

Deduct the $300 gift card: $4320-$300=$4,020

Effective cost per phone: $4020/4=$1,005

So you basically save less than $100 compared to if you were to buy a new iPhone 17Pro.
This offer makes sense for someone who is looking to get new service as well since you get free service with but you still pay the full price of the phone over three years. Doesn't make sense to get this if you are looking to just use the phones and continue with your existing service.

Gift card: $300
You're not making payment on the phones unless you sever the contract before the 36 months are up.

I hope someone calls them out for this. I'll bet Verizon didn't anticipate the amount of interest for this offer. Now, the company is trying to wiggle its way out and blaming the customers.

It means your order is in limbo. I suggest calling the fraud line 888-483-7200 ASAP to clear this. The odds are stacked against you but never hurt to try.

If that's the case why are they still actively promoting the sale on their homepage and social media ads?
