It sounds pretty slick on paper, just keep in mind some considerations:

- Phone sales tax- due at sign up.
- Monthly Taxes. Like someone mentioned can be as high as $9/line per month
- Activation fees. Apparently $40 per line, but maybe you can get waived?
- Verizon has historically said allow 1-2 billing cycles for discounts to appear. Well, if they don't appear be prepared to spend multiple calls and hours to try and get them to honor their agreement.
- This service plan is the lowest unlimited so don't get the ultra wideband (faster 5g) or hot spot.
- to take full advantage of the discount you have to keep the lines for 3 years. That's a long time to be locked in. Theoretical scenario: if you pulled all 4 lines out after 2 years would owe around $1500 for the phone pay offs.

While a good price, I think they are trying to get you to sign up, and then bc you'll be frustrated with the lower plan will upgrade at a significant cost ($40/line instead of $25).

It's equivalent to most Verizon-based MVNOs and Visible's lowest tier.
This reddit post [reddit.com] explains data prioritization for the 3 major carriers and the MVNOs on them.

Here's the taxes for my CA city if anyone's interested

Fed Universal Service Charge: $0.41
Regulatory Charge: $0.21
Admin & Telco Recovery Charge: $3.78
CA State 911 Surcharge: $0.41
CA State 988 Surcharge: $0.08
CA Universal Service PPP Fee: $0.90
Emerg Comm Acc Tax: $3.22
City UUT: $0.28
Total charges per line = $9.29

It's still a really good deal if you're in the market for new iPhones

This has been a mess for us, mostly me I should say. Last night I got a text from Verizon saying my number was being ported over and I'd have use of my phone until it's completed. About 2 minutes later I get 2 e-mails from Visible. One says my number has been ported to a new carrier. The other says my account is now closed and thanks for being a visible customer. I work nights and this is 3AM. The rest of the family was on Mint mobile and their phones are still working currently. I was ok with this because the phones were supposed to arrive today. I get an e-mail they were delivered, of course no package. Double check and like others, they were returned to sender for whatever reason. I don't have an answer on why they initiated a return to sender. Supposedly they are going to over night a phone and I should have it by tomorrow. So I will be without a phone for 24 hours. Like everyone has said there is no account because no lines are active. Which means I couldn't even activate my old phone and use it until the new phone comes. The only reason I can think I'm having issues is because Visible is owned by Verizon. Because of that, we had a couple extra steps bringing my phone number over. I'm reading all the issues on the forum and I'm starting to regret my switch. I used to work for Verizon and never had an issue like this with number ports. Just figured with the free phones and it being Verizon main it was better to move from Visible.
What extra steps did you need to take with visible? I plan to port out from cox and I suspect that could be a problem since cox is on Verizon network

I ended up doing this deal last night. I added everything to my cart (4 phones) and the chat bubble kept popping up and offering to waive activation if I chatted, so I did. The rep was able to finish the order and waive activation, but it took a long time. He said his system kept timing out and he needed to start over (3 times). I did get $100 for 4 lines. With taxes in fees here in CT, the bill will be $123 per month. I forgot to ask about teacher discount which friends have told me will be another $5 off per month per line.
I did get the code for the $300 gift card (I am bummed to read I could have maybe gotten 4 of these gift cards by doing separate orders!) Based on comments I read here, I pushed for in store pickup. The store down the street for me didn't have 2 of the phones in stock, but a store 25 mins away does. So I will head out there today. I tried to set up autopay last night with my new acct but I was getting acct errors. It was very late so I gave up and figured maybe it was too soon to try. I will try again today.
We will need to port in from mint mobile. Hopefully that process won't be too difficult. We have not had cell phone contracts for probably a decade and have been with mint for like 5 years now. We typically avoid any and all contracts and just buy older model phones outright and unlocked. But this deal was too good to pass up. I desperately needed a new phone (I was still using an iphone 11 and it's giving me problems) and my families phones aren't far behind. I'm hopeful that with the newest phones we won't need to worry about changing anyone's phones in the next 3 years. I calculated my cost over 3 years, including the higher monthly charge vs mint, to be $1800, minus the $300 gift card. So $1500 for 4 iphone 17 pros with better service (I work in a brick school building and struggle with mint service, but coworkers on verizon don't have any problems).

I have the same fear. I was speaking with the rep who told me there was a risk of losing the promo if the numbers are switched with the temporary ones.

I would say only if you actually go into a store and they have the phone(s) available. The success rate is a 99 percent failure rate through online orders. I think maybe one or two people have had successful deliveries.

Horrible. My first translation cancelled so still waiting on the refund. I had them push through my original case and go through approval and got store pickup today. Tempted to return, eat restocking and get 4 GCs. Sucker for pain I guess and I only need go lines lol
Same boat as you, did you end up returning and reordering? Possible to waive restock fee on unopened devices?

You'll on limbo doing this if the stores doesn't have it in stock or could be longer.

I ordered through agent with activation waiver and she promised me I will get email about 300$ gift card and receipt doesn't show but I will get email after activation. She told me to save chat and screenshot of what she promised
My activation was $40 on the receipt but they said they would adjust that on Sunday did you see the activation fee on your receipt or did it say waived also they said I would see the gift card $300 in 2 weeks on Sunday
