It sounds pretty slick on paper, just keep in mind some considerations:

- Phone sales tax- due at sign up.
- Monthly Taxes. Like someone mentioned can be as high as $9/line per month
- Activation fees. Apparently $40 per line, but maybe you can get waived?
- Verizon has historically said allow 1-2 billing cycles for discounts to appear. Well, if they don't appear be prepared to spend multiple calls and hours to try and get them to honor their agreement.
- This service plan is the lowest unlimited so don't get the ultra wideband (faster 5g) or hot spot.
- to take full advantage of the discount you have to keep the lines for 3 years. That's a long time to be locked in. Theoretical scenario: if you pulled all 4 lines out after 2 years would owe around $1500 for the phone pay offs.

While a good price, I think they are trying to get you to sign up, and then bc you'll be frustrated with the lower plan will upgrade at a significant cost ($40/line instead of $25).

It's equivalent to most Verizon-based MVNOs and Visible's lowest tier.
This reddit post [reddit.com] explains data prioritization for the 3 major carriers and the MVNOs on them.

Here's the taxes for my CA city if anyone's interested

Fed Universal Service Charge: $0.41
Regulatory Charge: $0.21
Admin & Telco Recovery Charge: $3.78
CA State 911 Surcharge: $0.41
CA State 988 Surcharge: $0.08
CA Universal Service PPP Fee: $0.90
Emerg Comm Acc Tax: $3.22
City UUT: $0.28
Total charges per line = $9.29

It's still a really good deal if you're in the market for new iPhones

I received my phones today, but during the set up, it asks for a QR code to get my cellular set up. Does anyone know how I set up a login id for verizon, so I can get the QR code?
Register your new account on Verizon.com. It will send a code to your phone to verify.

Pulled the trigger on Dec 6 for this deal. The $300 gift card popped up, I chatted with a rep to waive the $40 activation, took a while, but got the order placed for 4 phones. Got the shipping notification 2 days later. That same day, I received an email saying your order is being canceled, call if you feel this was done in error. I called, talked to a rep in fraud prevention, they verified my phone number and said everything was good. They couldn't tell my why this happened. I Got an email shortly after saying my order was approved.

I checked the tracking last night and it said the shipment was being returned to sender. I called this morning and the rep said there's nothing they can do, I'd have to wait to be refunded and place a new order.

F!@# Verizon
Had the same and they even can not help to refund the sales tax that they charged .. is Verizon a joke ?

You'll have 30 days to activate. Don't give the numbers you don't want to transfer yet.
I have been given conflicting information, some rep says its 30 days some says 15. Plus I was also told the account gets activated as soon as the phone is delivered and billing starts from that day, so they are screwing people. What's the benefit of waiting except if its a gift scenario. Is this accurate that bill starts before activation of phones ?

I don't get how this company makes money. So like many of you I went through the process got my phones almost delivered only to get my order cancelled during delivery process. Spent about 9 hrs total on the phone to get nowhere between FedEx and Verizon Customer service. I went to a mall store which are 2nd to 3rd party vendors only for them to look up my account and just say yeah yeah ok that's interesting, well it looks good on our end just wait??? Then I went today to the local corporate store to hear oh yeah this happens all the time. They look up my account to tell me I'm a customer without phones? We call the fraud department together only for them to verify my identity and to then cancel my order that's in limbo to then tell me that I can now repeat the whole process again now that my identity is verified?? I suggested to just reroute my phones in limbo and they said no you have to repeat the whole transaction over??? So now another grueling hour or two on the phone with the sales department. For the love of god where has common sense gone?

Tell 'em to cancel and do a second order for in-store pickup, then call the fraud dept to verify ASAP after the second order's created. I got it this way and activated the phones today.

Yes it can be waived and pickup in store but it has to be in stock or else you'll have to wait 2-3 days to pickup. still give them call after the order to check.

For my 2nd order, I selected store pickup and it went on hold cos of the recent cancellation of the previous 1st order.
Thank u very much!
