It sounds pretty slick on paper, just keep in mind some considerations:

- Phone sales tax- due at sign up.
- Monthly Taxes. Like someone mentioned can be as high as $9/line per month
- Activation fees. Apparently $40 per line, but maybe you can get waived?
- Verizon has historically said allow 1-2 billing cycles for discounts to appear. Well, if they don't appear be prepared to spend multiple calls and hours to try and get them to honor their agreement.
- This service plan is the lowest unlimited so don't get the ultra wideband (faster 5g) or hot spot.
- to take full advantage of the discount you have to keep the lines for 3 years. That's a long time to be locked in. Theoretical scenario: if you pulled all 4 lines out after 2 years would owe around $1500 for the phone pay offs.

While a good price, I think they are trying to get you to sign up, and then bc you'll be frustrated with the lower plan will upgrade at a significant cost ($40/line instead of $25).

It's equivalent to most Verizon-based MVNOs and Visible's lowest tier.
This reddit post [reddit.com] explains data prioritization for the 3 major carriers and the MVNOs on them.

Here's the taxes for my CA city if anyone's interested

Fed Universal Service Charge: $0.41
Regulatory Charge: $0.21
Admin & Telco Recovery Charge: $3.78
CA State 911 Surcharge: $0.41
CA State 988 Surcharge: $0.08
CA Universal Service PPP Fee: $0.90
Emerg Comm Acc Tax: $3.22
City UUT: $0.28
Total charges per line = $9.29

It's still a really good deal if you're in the market for new iPhones

I just returned from a Verizon store and I received a very good deal. I took my T-Mobile bill with me, and the sales rep applied the following discounts:
National Discount Marker: $0.00
National Discount (3+ Lines): −$20.00
"Better Deal" for 4+ Phones: −$20.00
Promotional Credit: −$45.00 per month for 36 months
This brings my monthly bill to $101.21 before AutoPay, and $61.21 after AutoPay.
No trade-in required or anything. I got the phones, and my receipt shows the above discounts.
I'm concerned that the deal I got is too good to be true and wondering if there's any hidden catch that I'm missing.
Great deal. Should take it and run. Those discounts/credits over 36 months are way better than getting the $300 gift card online.

This can only be done in store and the discounts/credits comes down to the AI scan of your T-Mobile/AT&T bill and the rep helping you.

For those interested in this deal and would rather have credits/discounts over 36 months instead of a $300 gift card, just go in store with a PDF copy of your bill from another carrier. Below is a quote from a Verizon rep on Reddit.
Quote :
Im a retail manager at a corporate Verizon store.

The better deal discount usually populates when the bill you upload shows a discount we do not offer such as free lines on T-Mobile. 1 line is $10, 2-3 is $25, and 4+ is $20 off per month.

The better deal closer is offered in increments of $5 up to $15 per line. The $15 per line is applicable to a maximum of 3 lines for $45 x 36mo. Any lines past 3 would not get additional discounts.

Both of these discounts would appear as an account level discount. The better deal closer is up to the sales rep discretion but should not exceed what is needed to close the sale. The better deal discount is solely up to the AI analysis of the bill.

Place the order on Dec 16

4 pro - $0
4 unlimited plan
Phone tax - $0 (since no sales tax in my state)
Monthly bill will be - $122 in total after the autopay discount
$300 - instead of GC, took one time credit which will be reflected in the 1st bill
$120 - activation charge will be added as bill credit too

Seems pretty STRONG deal

PS: if you bring your in contract phone and number from other carrier and add as a 5th line then Verizon will pay for the phone up to $800 to your current carrier, will give you bill credit worth of your phone ($320 for 16 pro) and will give free phone (same as I got for first 4 lines) and I got all of these in writing.
what will happen to that 16 pro? you got to keep that or send it to them like trading in against the free 5th phone ?

You have to send it back but you do get free phone in return, Verizon will pay your remaining balance and Verizon will add $320 as credit in the account

Did anyone else receive this email?
I've been with Verizon for a week. I called them and they told me it was because I wasn't using the new phones (I switched all my lines back to my old devices)

I submitted an order and it went thru the hold process then was approved. I don't see any taxes for the sale of the phones on the purchase receipt. Do they charge taxes before they ship or put them on your first bill?

Has anyone done the deal WITH the activation fee, then got it waived later? Thanks, looking to get them waived but don't know what to say or do or who to call. I saw someone mention call the activation dept after you receive the phones but looks like it hasn't been waived yet, any success stories?

I did the chat 3 separate times and my payment kept getting bounced by Verizon and couldn't handle doing another chat and order which was taking 1.5 hours each time.

If anyone was able to get the activation fees waived after the fact please share!

Before unless you live in tax free states.

I did the deals online via chat and the activation fees were waived for all lines plus the giftcard. I tried to redeem the giftcard but it kept saying not found so I was kind of frustrated so I contacted Verizon and the agent gave me an offer for $200 per line instead. Then I called yesterday for help because I'm having trouble registering an account. It took 3 different agents to find my account and the last agent decided to offer me the fifth line for free. So, 5 lines for $100 plus $800 giftcard.

I've seen comments here that doing this offer online through chat is the only way to avoid the activation fees, and other comments that in store is better - I have an old tmo plan 4 lines / $100 and one phone with about $500 left to pay off via monthly credits, ideally I'd get verizon to give me 4 new free phones and match my current price for the tmo plan without eating a bunch of costs for activation fees etc. - is my best option to go to a store or try my luck online?

No way my cousin got 6 lines for $196 after autopay and taxes included. The chat agent didn't budge and only offered the usual $300 and to pay off phones. We even asked for plan upgrades for 2 lines at the same price, they said the system couldn't allow it.
