It sounds pretty slick on paper, just keep in mind some considerations:

- Phone sales tax- due at sign up.
- Monthly Taxes. Like someone mentioned can be as high as $9/line per month
- Activation fees. Apparently $40 per line, but maybe you can get waived?
- Verizon has historically said allow 1-2 billing cycles for discounts to appear. Well, if they don't appear be prepared to spend multiple calls and hours to try and get them to honor their agreement.
- This service plan is the lowest unlimited so don't get the ultra wideband (faster 5g) or hot spot.
- to take full advantage of the discount you have to keep the lines for 3 years. That's a long time to be locked in. Theoretical scenario: if you pulled all 4 lines out after 2 years would owe around $1500 for the phone pay offs.

While a good price, I think they are trying to get you to sign up, and then bc you'll be frustrated with the lower plan will upgrade at a significant cost ($40/line instead of $25).

Here's the taxes for my CA city if anyone's interested

Fed Universal Service Charge: $0.41
Regulatory Charge: $0.21
Admin & Telco Recovery Charge: $3.78
CA State 911 Surcharge: $0.41
CA State 988 Surcharge: $0.08
CA Universal Service PPP Fee: $0.90
Emerg Comm Acc Tax: $3.22
City UUT: $0.28
Total charges per line = $9.29

It's still a really good deal if you're in the market for new iPhones

Just placed an order online.

Did try to call in but was turned down for all the following offers:
"$45 Better Deal Closer aka Switcher aka BVG" -- if you are paying less than $100, you might need to bring your current non-Verizon bill to them so they can have this offer applied to you.

"$20 National Discount", was told it is included in the $25/line promotion.

"$20 Better Deal" was told it is same as the $45 one.

Bump the credit to 500: declined!

Activation fee, yes, they can do.

Since they can't do anything special, I said Bye and went online used some cashback site.

Since the devices are back-ordered, went with temporary numbers. Now I need to port the number to the Verizon as I expect the devices to arrive tomorrow. Can this be done online, or do I need to visit a store? Also, does anyone know Verizon's porting support number? Thank you.

Placed an order with Verizon on Jan 2 to switch multiple lines. Order went through fully: payment completed, contracts signed, confirmation email received, and tracking worked for several days. Status showed "not shipped yet" with an expected ship date of Jan 9. Today track page says order not found. Not sure what's going on. Any one else like that

need to turn on and activate phones. this will allow for account creation I believe. then you can go to vzw.com/port to put in the right account and pin info for porting and check status. However, someone advised me to not rest on the online system so calling in is best after that and they can push things. I called 800 922 0204 and asked for the porting in dept.

yes i see it there but mine doesnt say anything about 36mths for "Better" discount (i'm using android app). anyway, if you see it then great but weird there is a difference.

For anyone downplaying Verizon's coverage, I just wanted to say that I'm posting this from deep inside of a Home Depot store from a Verizon phone . Back when I was on T-Mobile, I would have to walk all the way to the front glass doors to get a signal. I'm also watching a new movie trailer for Greenland 2 with no lag. I was with T-Mobile for 16 long years and never experienced this inside of a Lowe's or Home Depot. I suppose I might regret it if I ever have to go to the airport or stadium but it's a good thing I don't hang out at those places a lot. I've also been able to stream in remote areas of Az without loss of signal where T-Mobile had multiple holes.
