It sounds pretty slick on paper, just keep in mind some considerations:

- Phone sales tax- due at sign up.
- Monthly Taxes. Like someone mentioned can be as high as $9/line per month
- Activation fees. Apparently $40 per line, but maybe you can get waived?
- Verizon has historically said allow 1-2 billing cycles for discounts to appear. Well, if they don't appear be prepared to spend multiple calls and hours to try and get them to honor their agreement.
- This service plan is the lowest unlimited so don't get the ultra wideband (faster 5g) or hot spot.
- to take full advantage of the discount you have to keep the lines for 3 years. That's a long time to be locked in. Theoretical scenario: if you pulled all 4 lines out after 2 years would owe around $1500 for the phone pay offs.

While a good price, I think they are trying to get you to sign up, and then bc you'll be frustrated with the lower plan will upgrade at a significant cost ($40/line instead of $25).

It's equivalent to most Verizon-based MVNOs and Visible's lowest tier.
This reddit post [reddit.com] explains data prioritization for the 3 major carriers and the MVNOs on them.

Here's the taxes for my CA city if anyone's interested

Fed Universal Service Charge: $0.41
Regulatory Charge: $0.21
Admin & Telco Recovery Charge: $3.78
CA State 911 Surcharge: $0.41
CA State 988 Surcharge: $0.08
CA Universal Service PPP Fee: $0.90
Emerg Comm Acc Tax: $3.22
City UUT: $0.28
Total charges per line = $9.29

It's still a really good deal if you're in the market for new iPhones

Just realized made a huge mistake moving to VZ.. should have listened. New service for about a month and noticeably worse that AT&T, but tolerable. Did a hockey game last nite and service was useless... not texts, calls or data. Talking to folks around me and they were just fine (able to monitor NFL game score)... it was like a anti-VZ commercial. All the functional ones were all on TMobile or AT&T. Us VZ folks had nada. Lesson learned. Gonna see what I can do to get outta this mess.

Wait for 2 months for it to unlock and then get secondary sim for the rainy days. You could find ATT or Tmobile based mvno options under from $5-6 pm for few hundred mb to a gb of data.

I'm happy to report the exact opposite experience. We had ATT for 25 years. No place in San Diego has any service. It'll show one or two bars, but it's really zero. Since switching to VZ, I'm actually able to use my phone. I can even make calls at home on the cell network instead of WiFi. It's really night and day.

Sure, I read the bad reviews, but I figured it couldn't possibly be worse than ATT. What tier of service do you have? We're on the middle tier.

Ditto here. Had the exact same experience with Verizon. The Unlimited Welcome (no priority) plan is basically useless in crowded areas — most of the time stuck on LTE, calls and texts dropping, data crawling at ~1.2 Mbps.
Verizon basically forces you to pay an extra $15/month just to get usable priority data (Unlimited Welcome Plus). Once I upgraded, speeds jumped to 800+ Mbps, which tells you the network itself isn't the issue — it's the throttling.
End result: $45 + $10 tax and fee ends up more expensive than comparable T-Mobile plans, with worse real-world performance unless you pay the surcharge. Pretty disappointing.

I just received my second bill and I don't see a single device credit. Shit. Anyone else? Do I just need to wait for the 3rd bill?

Got my second bill today. Can anyone explain this? I signed up around mid December for 4 lines. Got a bill end of December for $170. Now on my Jan-Feb bill they are charging partial use of the 4 lines for December to Jan 15. Didn't I already pay for some of that in the $170 payment? If not, what did that payment cover. Confusing as heck. I dread calling customer service for billing. I went through hours of hell in order to sign up last month.

I had similar question. Customer service is not able to justify why charges for same duration in two monthly bills

Can I ask you submit the rebate after you make the order or after you activate the phone? Trying to figure out if the timing is important, all mine is declining.
